I forget the tweet, I think it was around Thanksgiving, but he was mocking some person's photo and mentioned he had the same cane they had in the picture. The only reason I can think he would need one is either he injured his leg at some point or his shitty lifestyle caught up with him.
I think I almost remember (maybe @Positron knows which one for sure) what tweet that was, but I was under the impression that Bob had a cane that probably was either bought for the lulz ("I have a cane and a top hat! I'm SOPHISTICATED, friendo!") or as a cosplay/prop rather than to help him walk, or he just had because a grandparent (RIP) had it and now he has it?

He’s just so detached from reality. To him, it doesn’t matter how many people might die, or how the world economy might be affected. The “optics” are fine, that’s all that matters. Russia has all the qualities of an acceptable villain, therefore we just need to step in and become the heroes of the story. Some minor characters might die during the action scenes, but in the end the good guys will win like always.
If you want an idea of how detached he is from reality, look at his replies to anti-war tweets made by Glenn Greenwald, or anyone else. Instead of addressing the points they're making he tries to make a joke or deflect to a different topic to "own" them. The actual things they're saying doesn't even register with him. It's like he's responding to a completely different conversation.

I think Bob overestimates his talents. Despite having a film degree of some kind, he's only ever worked on the equivalent of some toddlers making a play in their garage. Also he's pretty much a Literally Who when it comes to *making* that kind of thing.
Trains aren't practical everywhere. Where I live a train (that isn't at a museum) hasn't run since 2011 because nobody kept the tracks maintained (to be fair a large swath of track is through the middle of fucking nowhere and thus maintenance is not only expensive but a bitch). And to top it all off, it's a SINGLE track. For it to even be remotely feasible the track should be twinned, and that would be even MORE expensive. Every once in a while someone with a pie in the sky idea suggests fixing the train tracks so that trains may return, but I don't see that happening anytime soon due to insanely prohibitive costs and disinterest on the part of the company that owns the rail line.
Buses aren't that much better because Greyhound went under in Canada and there's very little else to take its place, cutting off vast swaths of communities from each other if one doesn't have a car.
But I don't expect Bob to even begin to comprehend this.

And yet, for all his smahts - he seems ignorant of the fact that open warfare with a nuclear-equipped state isn't a good idea when you live in the danger zone of any directed first strike (the US Eastern Seaboard) , the fact he isn't bragging that his Right Side of History Shield will protect him indicates he's not ignorant of it, but simply not even aware of it.
I dunno Robert. Why don't you ask Dubya Bush about it? He was a big fan of that sort of foreign policy. I have a feeling Robert is secretly more fond of the Dubya than the lefties he wants to fit in with. Or he only hates Dubya because he's "supposed" to.
Am I the only person who's really tired of movie runtime discourse? It seems to me that modern audiences have very low attention spans and automatically assume that any movie being over two hours long is "excessive". Which really bugs me, because some of the best films ever made were three hours long or more. I think that this video said it best:
