Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

You think they wouldn't sacrifice a corrupt, perverted tool, with no family connections? The son of a blue collar worker, and father of two junkies and a corpse? Who's going to stop them? Dr. Jill?

If there's an argument against it, I'd be interested to hear it.

EDIT: Joe even said that he's going to go out and meet with the ordinary people more. I wonder if that's his idea...

Aside from not letting Father Time take the credit, which is easier and safer, Biden's death wouldn't unify the country and certainly wouldn't fix all the problems this administration currently has. Harris inherits the supply chain crisis, the Ukraine crisis, the border crisis (she has it anyways, but it becomes even more of her responsibility), the gas shortage crisis, and the COVID crisis. These problems are either so systemically complicated that a regime change can't be fixed or their legitimacy of their rule is contingent on its existence.

1) COVID is necessary for Dem base states like NY and CA governors, so it's existence must perpetuate. Even if the administration wants COVID to go away, Newsom and Hochul don't want it to, so it continues to exist.
2) Russia still remains a threat to the Ukraine because they need more territory to defend their extremely vulnerable capital. At the same time, the US military has lost its credibility after Afghanistan and even dumb generals like Milley have to be aware that a blitzkrieg campaign that takes out Russian assets might not knock them out decisively.
3) The Dems need to have an open border for demographic replacement every 18 years. The fact that cartels use it to traffic marijuana is a non-issue to them, but definitely an issue to affected states who now have Cartel weed plantations in their own backyard and solidifying organized crime, which affects state governance.
4) I'm not a trucker, so I can't explain the supply chain crisis other than that no one wants to work at the pay they receive.

Patriotic fever can't catch on because the people that are supposed to spread it are the Left, and they hate America. Harris is still stuck with the only lever this administration has; deputize the Nat'l Guard for labor shortages and that's not enough for 9/11 measures that they want to do.

I am indeed hard pressed to think of anyone who currently disapproves of Pedojoe who would vote Dem or back the any 2021-2022 Dem proposals if he got glow opped into the grave (rather than glow opped out of it, which seems to currently be the case).

This is the America of 2022, not the America of 1963, and Joe ain't like the last Irish Catholic who stole a Presidential election.

Supply chain is complicated.

TLDR is that everything is all fucked up.

Longer TLDR is that basically, the only people who want it fixed happens to be the consumer. California makes money no matter what charging fees for shipping stuff through their ports. The ports charge fees for shipping containers sitting on the docks. The trucking mega-corps get to charge more fees because space is limited. The dock workers get paid no matter what. in fact, this is good for them, because they have as much work as they want ATM.

This is benefitting everybody in the shipping industry, and fucking everyone outside of it.

The one exception is independant truckers, and those are basically gone. Between covid and California's insane regulations, independent truck drivers realized that because they were literally waiting 10+ hours in line at the docks, and even then couldn't always get their cargo container, between fees, buisiness expenses, and the fact they were paid by either the mile, or delivery, not by hour, sometimes they were making less then minimum wage. Some even lost money.

They, understandably, had a bitch fit, and said "Fuck this."

Independant truckers make up a huge portion of the trucking industry. The only people who really are picking shit up from california now are the mega corp truckers, who are paid by the hour and don't give a single shit, and the independent truck drivers too stupid to realize that they are being screwed.

A pretty big portion of the independent truckers retired.

And now we can't get more truckers. Partly because DOT says truckers have to be over 21, and partly because the shipping industry isn't willing to pay drivers enough to ship, because this situation isn't losing them money.

And just think, I didn't get into the reasons why cargo vessels weren't heading to florida (because fuel costs and paying to go through the panama), problems with theft (fucking california is a third world country), or shortages in the shipping industry (it takes a special kind of trailer to move shipping containers, and when ports started throwing bitch fits about shipping containers just sitting in the docks, people moved the containers by putting them on trailers, taking them to parking lots, and dropping both the container and the trailer. We now have a shortage of those trailers.)

The shipping crisis is a gordian knot of stupidity, the problem not costing the industry money, and the fact that fixing it would actually require the shipping industry to build infrastructure that would be used for a year or two, then become worthless as things returned to normal.

Oh I’m pretty sure more than just consumers are pissed. Insurance companies are pissed, manufacturers are pissed, retailers (Amazon) are pissed, investors (including anyone with a 401k) are extremely pissed…. Maybe California and truckers are fine with it, but this is impacting a lot more than just consumers.

Russian field hospitals have been spotted staging behind the border. It really looks like they might go for it this time. The Russians will get fucked, even if they win. they dont have the money for a conventional war. the US spent 50 billion a year on 10,000 troops occupying Afghanistan, the Entire russian military budget is 65 billion. and when they win they have to occupy 45 million Ukranians who hate the Russians. there wont be any "Russian separatists" this time.
