It's not a ranch gun, though. It can't fire snake shot, nor any real range of loads, and it's not cheap enough for plinking or small game. It's designed to deal with armored people, and there just aren't any to shoot there. Of course, there's damn near nothing to shoot there, other than tranchers and alpacas, but if we pretend this is a real ranch, there will be pests and predators to deal with. A 5.7x28mm is not especially well suited to those tasks.

Someone in the Kev thread brought up some interesting points on the cockumentary they were filming about Tenacious Unicorn Ranch, which is that there's not been any decent shown progress or news.

One farmer speculated that it was already done but Penny didn't like it for whatever reason so they needed more material. I suspect also Bonnie exodus played a part in it or them needing to look more virtuous. Hence this

There's a difference between "Rangers" and "Ranger School"

"Rangers" are basically the high-speed, cool guys, that are still pretty close to Army Doctrine. (Unlike Green Berets who do what they wanna do). It's still a pretty hard thing to achieve, however. After becoming a Ranger, you're assigned to a Ranger battalion.

"Ranger School" is essentially a leadership school that anyone can technically go to, and isn't easy, but certainly less difficult than becoming a Ranger. After Ranger School, you go back to your normal unit.

I haven't seen the pic, but Rangers are identified by the scroll and tan beret, and Ranger School is just a tab.
