Couldn't she find a South Korean psychiatrist instead if Japan's the problem?

There might be issues with prescriptions and a lot of psychiatrists wouldn't see an international patient that they weren't already seeing before they moved. SK is definitely not an ideal place to go for psychiatric help. Switzerland seems like it's really ideal apart from its proximity to Marge, but obviously Venus is digging her heels in and refusing to leave Japan. If someone were to take her on as a long distance patient anywhere I'd think Switzerland would be the most likely place.

People debate whether Venus has citizenship. I'm fairly certain she doesn't have citizenship because Japan is notorious for fuck tons of paper work and making it hard to get citizenship. You can't just marry and sit on your ass. Here's an example of a youtuber who lives in Japan going through the process with her husband.

TLDR you essentially have to fill out paperwork every three months with paystubs for multiple years. The paperwork is notoriously vague and shitty. I don't think Venus has legit paystubs so I don't think it would work out. I'm fairly certain Japan doesn't recognize onlyfans as an official job. Japan also doesn't recognize YouTube as a legit job after the Jake Paul shennanigans to prevent Youtubers from just uprooting and moving to Japan. You need some LLC backing your move.

Margaret is the reason that Venus is this way. That woman abused her daughter her entire life and groomed her to be the money maker that could support her for the rest of her life after selling her away to a high earning man. Margaret doesn't see Venus as a daughter, she's just her project/ property that got away. Whenever authorities in the area would try to investigate her for child abuse, she would just pack up and ride away to another country. From very early on it was obvious that Margo was am abuser, she was just smart enough not to leave any marks where the camera would see.

Venus was isolated and had no choice but Margo (or at least she thought so until Manaki came along). Her going back to her mother would be signing her own death certificate.

More of a nitpick but there's a difference between citizenship and permanent residence.

Citizenship means you become Japanese. It means taking on a Japanese name. And it means renouncing any other nationality. This isn't the norm for a lot of Westerners wanting to live in Japan full time. The most famous individual is David Christopher Aldwinckle better known as Debito Arudou. He was a bit of a drama whore who became Japanese as a way of fighting back against what he saw as systemic racism in Japanese society. He is legally Japanese now. But he kinda fucked himself in the process as he got divorced from his wife and when he goes "home" to the US has to do so on a tourist visa.

Permanent Residence means that you are allowed to stay there and short of being able to vote in elections or run for office you have all the rights and privileges of a Japanese citizen. I don't know if this needs to be renewed or not.

So people were wondering if she had PR. To which the general consensus is no. She wouldn't be able to pass all the tests including having ties to the country. If she had a child with Manaki, had a real job and had some presence in the community like belonging to a neighborhood council or group then she could probably get it. But she has none of that so she's screwed.

The eyebags are intentional, it's a korean makeup trend (aegyo sal). Supposedly it makes your eyes look bigger/rounder/more intense if you make them look puffy like that. If you're smart, you shade them in with eyeshadow, but there is also a type of tape you can use to create them, which is the stupidest thing ever and a fantastic way to prematurely wrinkle up the sensitive skin around your eyes. Some people even get implants. Yes, people are getting surgery to *create* eyebags.
