I think what made her more popular quickly vs other terf types on YouTube is that she presents her videos almost as classic college lectures. They're packed with information and citations and is easy to digest next to visual examples.
She is not a professor, though. What I picked up watching her videos was that she has spent a considerable amount of years in post secondary while also claiming a level of disability. She believes being a speech pathologist gives her basically a level of medical knowledge that allows her to hypothesize diagnosis beyond her specialization. But I think this also indicates she comes from a privileged family with the money and resources to cover previous conditions, transition, several years of schooling and therapy.
I was a fan of hers until the interview with Ryan. In my opinion - don't pozload my neghole. It's one thing to document and react to the culture and ideas with publicly available content. By interacting with these people, she takes on a massive responsibility of speaking to a known mentally ill, possibly suicidal individual who has potentially mutilated themselves for the rest of their lives. Ryan is not even detransitioned yet - they still obviously believe in what they convinced themselves and I bet that's extremely mentally important to them at this moment in time since they live with a catheter due to that belief.
I do not believe Ryan is "Ryan" or that what they've done was the right thing to do. But Exclusanic is not a therapist, she's not a ground breaking documentarian, she's not the news - she's a random disabled speech therapist making TikToks.
That one troon was not "wrong". She cannot pretend to have empathy for those who mutilated themselves when she doesn't. She really doesn't care about Ryan or how Ryan lives day to day and if they will overcome these medical issues to live a normal life. She just wanted the interview for her channel because it added to the expose on the movement as a whole. Like most academics, she sees this as something to study and pontificate on, not see it as a real human being.
Is it Karen Davis who's the older black lady terf? She has the right idea - everytime I see her videos, it's her talking about a public activist trying to move the idea forward or engaging directly with commenters who are approaching her, which is easily avoided by ... not interacting with her, so she can never really be at fault for anyone's "feelings".
Exclusanic made a post a day or two later ripping Ryan for asking to be referred to as Ryan during this extremely sensitive time in their life that they were willing to share with Exclusanic. Maybe two years on with healed genitals they might feel better about not being Ryan anymore but to just go right at a guest who you monetized is bad practice, IMO.
I also kind of believe she is a secret lolcow but I don't think there would be a thread personally discussing her on KF if that wasn't the general gut feeling of more than a few viewers. When the troons band together to take her down.. well, she has to know it's coming, right?
I think she wears the wigs to hide her balding/thinning hair but if she is of mixed race (especially a Spanish/Native combo) she likely has really thick hair. When it's down and in ponytails it doesn't look as thin as it is on top. The weight really won't help her, especially as she nears 40. A cute bob type style and a selection of funky hats would immediately change her lolcow direction for at least 6 months to a year. Those Aliexpress wigs at her age, regardless of what she's saying, screams crazy person. Add in the constant cats meowing in the background... yeah....
