These people aren't the revolutionaries that they project themselves as, if they were they would be focusing on making their own products to combat the megacorporations. Ah, I knew of that stuff. I just went "I disagree with him because what he said is retarded" and moved on. I figured there was something I was missing, but I guess not (the men's choir bit is actually new to me, but I don't care what anyone says on Twitter). I think they don't talk about him because he's fairly distant. Sure, he appears on some podcasts, but that's about it. He's also made it clear he'll through a group under the bus if he thinks what they're doing is stupid and/or wrong, as he (rightfully) did with #Comicsgate.

The part I can give the most useful take on is the whole Rakieta Law saga, as both were incredibly stupid. R.L. suggesting JSG was a communist because he had issues with the exploitation of capitalism is every bit as stupid as JSG addressing it as a systematic issue rather than an issue with a corrupt individual. An argument where both sides deserved each other.

EDIT: Forgot to add this part. To bring all of this back to MauLer, I wouldn't be surprised if he just forgets who JSG is when he's not on a podcast. I doubt most of them really care about him, and the feeling is probably mutual. Beyond a distance for modern-day entertainment, they don't have a lot of the same interests. I wouldn't be surprised if it came out that they basically want to remain in good graces with every minority they can, but I'd place a bigger bet on them just not being close friends with a man who's entered his early 40's.
