General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I can understand Kronii being popular with Koreans because she is a Korean, but Baelz? Damn...
I've worked and served with Koreans in the past, they're super patriotic and proud of their country so anyone who shows any bit of interest in their stuff get's their undying friendship. I got curious after finding this thread and did some searching.. looks like both Bae and Kiara and done Korean learning streams recently. There are also kr Hololive clippers and they seem to clip anytime kpop, kdrama or anything korean is mentioned on stream and both of them have shown interest.

The cucking endings in NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD are hilarious and inspirational:

NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD way exceeded my expectations. I actually ended up buying it because of Pippa's stream, very entertaining and it's actually pretty challenging if you try to do well.

Tomoshika played it yesterday also with some chuuba from a company I'd never heard of, AniMare, named Oura Rukako. If only TMSK got more dedicated EN clippers, unfortunately she usually speaks so fast she completely overwhelms the tiny amount of JP I know.
NecroDancer seems like a playable migraine. Can't imagine ever playing it myself.
Gura is making it look way harder than it actually is, because she's panicking and making poor decisions. CoTN is a game that heavily rewards the ability to keep calm under pressure.

For example, there's been a few instances of her having a broadsword* which would allow her to trivially attack a red dragon from the side without even having to worry about its movement patterns, but she panics, runs around like a headless chicken, and gets blasted.

* The broadsword is actually a terrible weapon for experienced players because it catches on stray monsters all the time, but for beginners it's a fucking godsend.

My opinion for Niji vtuber:
I think Niji EN line up did great overall. I like that you can feel their chemistry together. I only watch Selen (I've been watching from her past persona), and Ike for now. I dont watch Niji JP or ID, but I find some of their clip (especially collab) amusing and enjoyable.

I tend to like vtuber with great singing skill and comfy stream, but with a bit chaos in the mix. For hololive itself, I only watch Ina and Ollie. Even though I love Moona singing stream... I can't catch up with her unarchive karaoke schedule. Other than that, I mostly watch indie vtuber, because of curiousity and I find their chat is easier to talk to.

Oh boy. We finally get to start the Hololive EN Ark...arc. Please for the love of all that is holy...don't let this shit consume them all.

lol Denied

Is the Ark collab happening at all? I don't see a stream on any of the channels I've checked.

Edit: Koyori is singing to 500k.

Yeah broadsword fucking sucks ass, best weps are either rapier, or the ranged ones and the saber if you have the dlc, Contd is really hard for newbies but when you learn how everything works it's actually stupid simple and the only key thing you need to keep in mind is not getting overwhelmed by shit.

I wish someone apart from gura plays it, since i can't tolerate more than 30 minutes of gura's sas before i start getting a headache

Ina is slowly fucking dying. RIP.
TLDW: Sick. Throat is sensitive and constant coughing. Can't speak much. Taking a break for around a week.
First of all, poor Ina. Second, I can't help but think of that Iofi/Pochi/Ina/Reine Phasmo collab that's a few months overdue. First Iofi got the coof, then Pochi had to take a break due to health issues. Now it's Ina's turn to lay low, I wouldn't be surprised if Reine starts getting headaches/back problems as soon as Ina feels better. What I mean is, that collab is cursed.
Its been a good bit without some faggy chimpout. I guess we were technically overdue for one.
I miss the days where the current retard would just give us Autistic stickers and call it a day.

The Rosemi/Feesh/Selen Rainbow Six Extraction stream , I don’t know if it’s them playing the new game or the game being a shitty Left 4 Dead knockoff.

They seem to be confused in a non acting way about the gameplay that the game hasn’t explained or shown and it looks to have Cyberpunk 2077 levels of automatic enemy spawns right behind them.

I just find it funny that everytime someone criticize Niji or Anykara, both company or talents, there are always a mini essay rebuttal made by someone. And this also applies outside of this forum as well

Reminds me with how younger weebs will always go apeshit whenever someone said just a slightest bad thing about their favorite waifu or fandom. But considering the focus for the more zoomers demographic by NijiEN, I guess it makes sense

I mean half of this thread sperged out a few weeks ago because someone happened to compliment Selen for doing a thing that a Hololive member had also done before. And just look at the endless Connor rage. At the end of the day vtuber fans, like members of any fandom, are prone to overreactions.

Essays like this?

Because what Connor said is simply not true. You think Hololive has this level of success simply because they're lucky? No, it's because the talents are willing to learn and improve themselves, with some savvy strategy taken by the company/management (some, not all, mind you). Opening up a new branch for what is basically an uncharted market is a very risky move, and HoloEN only managed to pulled it off because the HoloMyths members are talented, and the company is willing to give them their full support. If all that it took is just some luck, then why can't Nijisanji with their first iteration of NijiEN, the Niji India failed? There's a reason why the other Holomems admired the HoloMyth, even calling them the "Genius Generation".

And if you think anyone can be successful as long as they're part of Hololive, just look at Kiara's numbers now, and also Anya. Their growth suffered a lot because of the mistake both of their own faults and also of the company's. Kiara for being the numberfagging menhera she is, and Anya because she didn't give a fuck at what she's doing.

Putting Holo's success purely on "luck" or "the Lightning in the Bottle Moment" is a massive disservice to the efforts the talents did to improve themselves. Would Subaru became as big as she is now if not for her hardwork? Would Pekora can keep her growth were if not for her almost daily long streams? Same thing is also attributing their success solely because they're "Hololive". Literally almost no one have ever heard of their name before last year, even more people know of Nijisanji than Holo back then.

(Also contributing to Holo's success is the fans, fanworks, and also the clippers, but that's a story for another time)

Edit:
Also what @ChefKiss said is true, brand name power alone is not a guarantee for success or financial gains. Also a quick reminder, Coco and Kanata said they used to have poor SC results and such. And now what happened now, Coco is one the first SC earner in VTubers history, and that only happened because she put a lot of hard work on her channel
