I think it's likely that the testosterone caused the trans man's clitoris to engorge and changes the way the nerves were functioning. Testosterone does not help men with ED or trouble orgasming, so there's no reason to believe women taking it would experience male orgasms (especially since women don't have a prostate to stimulate for ejaculation). Sexual pleasure definitely functions differently between the sexes, including things like how the sympathetic nervous system reacts and how long endorphins are released afterwards. It's a really complex phenomena that obviously doesn't respond well to having hormones played with.
As @Dromedary said, I think this is another way trans people are lied to by the system. Some trans people are able to experience orgasm afterwards, but I have looked really hard and I literally cannot find any evidence that trans women experience orgasm or even a lot of sexual pleasure from intercourse. The only way they seem to be able to orgasm is direct stimulation of the "clitoris", which is usually just the penis tip, so the place with the most nerve endings anyway. For AGP, this is probably fine as that's half the point of the surgery, but if they are expecting to be able to enjoy actual PIV sex, then they are being lied to.
(I realize that many women do not orgasm from PIV sex alone, but from what I've read for trans women, the act is often (or almost always) painful and unpleasant in the way a dilator is. So it's really not analogous to female sexual pleasure in any way)

The AGP thing I think happened pretty organically, in the same "latchkey kid+autism+tv/internet" way that seems to have made furries and the like. But I swear things like queer theory in academia are almost designed to break people up by identity and put up walls. Half the point of privilege theory seems to be to declare that any one person literally cannot understand or empathize with another (you have the privilege not to realize x,y,z) and state that you must instead listen without speaking. There was a point where maybe it was well intentioned, but it went from being "my experience is not yours, please listen to what has happened to me and empathize" to "as a black/gay/trans/woman, I inherently have more knowledge on this than you, you aren't allowed to have opinions on anything". This is especially glaring when you see people like Contra points, who has never been homeless or faced any real danger and who's "oppression" comes from mean words on twitter, going on about the trans experience and how "trans women are being killed". They are, but not the type of trans woman she is. And with being gay or a woman or whatever (assuming you accept their experience as a valid representation of events), the appeal is still to a shared humanity and human experience. With a trans person, the anguish is this internal pain that only they have. It's not just society oppressing them. it's literally god/nature that has cursed them. Most cis people do not experience ideal childhoods, but somehow them missing their "correct" childhood is more painful that a cis person living through poverty or deprivation. It's a super special type of suffering that trumps anything material or tangible in the world. Even disabled people don't try to frame it on the same terms as trans people. I have more of an understanding of what it means to be someone with cerebral palsy than I do what it means to be a trans woman, let alone a trans man who apparently longs for my existence like it's some mystical prize.
