I joined the farms to have a way to vent about the 2020 riots. There really wasn't any place left where you could hold or state an opposing viewpoint without the threat of punishment for wrong think. That was a very frightening time. It was as if some magical spell had been cast over everyone, and the damage to culture and society may not be understood for some time. There are places that never recovered from the riots in the 60s and 70s, and it pains me to see that repeating.

Now, we can call it mass formation psychosis, and that's as good an explanation as any. Whatever bogus gains were earned by the riots, the equity push, jogger worship, and all the other bullshit that were pulled from the ashes, Biden and his administration have broken the same spell through their sheer retardation and incompetence. People where I live and work are feeling pain and regret, but they won't verbalize it -not to one another anyway. You can see it on their faces, you can almost feel it in the air. I can't think of any good analogy or comparison to describe it.

I agree about it being an echo chamber and admit to being a contributor to the echo, but when someone with different ideals actually just talks about it without shitting up the feed, this place is surprisingly adult in its converse. Only problem is that the civil differing ideologues are rarer than a blue steak.
there's a ton of ideological diversity on this thread, but the thread is 80% current events and 10% random digressions, so everyone's different opinions on stuff doesn't come up, except for the remaining 10%, which is the irreducible amount of faggotry on the internet and in life.

I can see why he hates this place so much.
It’s pretty deserved when people try to carry on over the 4chan “tranny janny” meme onto a site where the staff isn’t anonymous and neither are you. And especially when Nool is outright explicit in his hate for intra-site feuds.

Shameful. I’d say I hope people will be on better behavior, but I know that won’t be the case.

your sandbox, chief. But to some of us, maybe because we're a bit jaded, politicians have been our lolcows long before we even knew what a lolcow was.
It used to be literally written into the site description to exclude any politicians, including Kim Jung-Un, Vermin Supreme, etc. I've had to rewrite the rules multiple times to even excuse the presence of these threads.

Make no mistake, Joe Biden and Donald Trump are not lolcows. They are retarded egomaniacs who are killing people and my country to enrich themselves and their pedophile narcissist friends. There's nothing funny.

keep fighting the good fight null

you are still young and your fortunes will turn, you are doing God's work and you will someday be rewarded by a grateful nation, I'm just not sure exactly which one

Also, politics is why a lot of lolcows became lolcows in the first place.
I mean in all fairness lot of LOlcows that are discuss on this site get heavily involved in politics like MovieBlob and Sponny
Nah, he was always like this. He's not being abused, he's just an asshole. Look up anything he said to Clarence Thomas or getting mad when people call him dumb.

Glad we have a new thread, I wouldn't know what to do without it.
Yeah Biden was always a asshole. I remmber on the previous thread that I had posted about how he lied about the trucker involved in the accident that killed his first wife and kid. He waited until after the guy had died to start claiming the man was a irresponsible drunk driver when it was proven not to be the case involving the accident.
Well yeah, but neither does it help when fags are just sperging about jannies being trannies, how bad @Ride is a mod, how there's a leftist conspiracy and so on. If I were to come into something like that, I'd wouldn't give any of you fags any sort of clarification only because of how gay you all are acting.

It literally is. I really hope we're not gonna get into real taking-a-meme-seriously hours.
Even my post about our mod being Biden loving Janny. Was a joke.

Null your too hard on yourself man. One day people will realize all the good things you have done

When did the title change back? If it's going to keep changing, we should update it with Biden's fuck up of the week.
Not exactly what you're suggesting, but I kind of like the idea of a time based title if we're going to end up with lots of smaller megathreads. Making the "Joe Biden 2022-Q1 Megathread" would be slightly more informative than just a thread number, and it would make it clear to expect the thread to switch over around when fiscal quarter 2 starts.

(of course I say this as someone who doesn't usually visit so I just see it as a quick way for an outsider to pick an era to start catching up from).

The world is tragic by design. Some people just take humor from the tragedy to cope with it. It doesn't make me happy that an old retard is destroying the economy, but those stickers on the gas pumps still make me feel a bit better about it. To each their own.

I understand, even if I disagree. This community has a history, after all. I lurked enough on and off a couple years before I ever made an account, and my account is a couple years old, now. Clown world politics have definitely had an effect on the tone of the site, and I'm not gonna say it has been for the better.

To get back on track here and past the pointless mod discussion:

Brandon's first loss of the day is the announcement that OSHA has formally withdrawn the vax mandate.
If his DOJ doesn't even fight the injunction the Southern District of Texas put on his federal employee vax mandate I'm 100% in on the notion that COVID is officially done by summer, just in time to recover his horrible polling numbers.

If my memory of the USSC decision is correct, not unless Congress enacts something equivalent.
Since @HandsomeDan didnt post a source and the whole discussion around vaccine mandates is incredibly confusing, I’m curious as to what this actually covers. Is this:
- The federal employee mandate?
- The healthcare worker mandate? (Did this get upheld by the USSC? I don’t recall)
- The especially retarded all-companies-with-more-than-100-employees mandate?

Or is it all of the above, and all federal mandates are officially off the table?

Alright I think its time for a tactical analysis of the situation.

Biden's a complete fuck up yes? Polls are going into the center of the earth and he needs a win. Covid is dead, and he has nothing else but one thing. War or rather, the image of it's power. Biden and his team dont want to fire the first shot, but they want one of two things. For Russia to throw the first punch or for Putin to back down. Either outcome would give the B man a shred of power and credibility.

The problem for them as I see it, is that Putin doesn't look like he's going to do either of those things. He's not an idiot, he knows they are trying to entrap him, might even know this is part of china's plan to pit everybody against each other. So right now he's negotiating with the EU to isolate america and force a stalemate.

He's got more to gain from waiting out Biden and he knows it. Trump may have helped in this regard, I remember reading he gave a direct message to Putin that he needed to consider who's going to be president in 2024 https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...th-future-president-if-russia-invades-ukraine

So is it gone for good?
Someone mentioned earlier in this thread that there are whispers of OSHA releasing a permanent mandate rule, instead of an ETS. I haven't seen anything for myself, but it seems like something they would do. To me, it would be just as futile since they've done nothing to justify the emergency standard since the supreme court knocked it on it's ass.

Edit: The OSHA ETS only covered private employers with 100+ employees. CMS is still active. The federal employee and federal contractor mandates have been blocked by their respective federal courts.

It's the end of the "Companies with more than 100 employees" OSHA mandate. The healthcare worker mandate was upheld by the Supreme Court and a federal district court put an injunction on the federal employee mandate whose status is TBD.
