It will never happen. Max invested too much time and (other people's, mostly) money into this so there is no turning back. What would he do, admit he was wrong? Can't do that, he'll look stupid! And if he complains too much his troon friends will claim he is a bad influence for speaking out about the risks and ostracize him. It's like driving your truck into the mud; can't go back and going forward only makes it worse.

You know, for most troons I expect them to just get stuck in the endless cycle of coping, seething and dilating once they get their amholes. For Dave Jr. here, though... I'm not so sure. There's something about him that makes me think he might join Club Neckrope less than a year after going under the knife. I hope not, we don't want to lose a productive lolcow, but the feeling is there.

Funny you mention that. I know at least furry tranny that's a Korps follower who, despite being intelligent, having education, coming from a well family has both a mommy fetish and hates their parents/family. It wasn't even legitimate type hating, like abuse or neglect, but just that they felt they weren't loved? Gotten more attention? It's a mystery.
There's very few actual post op furry trannies, mostly because the trans people you run into in this fandom are doing purely out of peer pressure and living as a fetish. Trickster, Jewel/WhiteKitten's girlfriend is a real post-op tranny, and they spent tens of thousands of dollars on plastic surgery unrelated to their trench. They're not overtly sexual about any of it, are productive members of society, and seemed to be one of the few actual trans in furry that aren't treating it like a fetish.
I think it's mostly the cult like groupings trannies get themselves into and are bombarded by positive reinforcement and the belief that if they change everything about themselves, then all the problems they've had in their life will magically go away. To a point it's human condition, you have one group that's all smiles, wanting to help you, feeding into your interests, and another side that is against all that. Of course weak willed people will be attracted to the former.
Everyone is on the same page but him, and this revelation hurts him more than knowing he'll never be a real woman.
