Mega Rad Gun Thread

Assume way cheaper. Like bottom of the barrel cheap. I have a bump helmet and mounting for it more or less sorted out. That said as far as realistic use cases, holding it inline with the optic just seemed to make more sense. Sight picture seems workable so far.

I feel bad for whoever gets domed by this lol.

What's yall opinion on the Sig P320? I really like the P226, but not the price. I see people online either love the p320 or they say it's unreliable, something regarding the military trials. I like the idea of owning 1 frame for concealed carry and just swapping the frame to put it on the larp belt.

If you want a carry sized metal framed Sig, get the P229.

If you want yet another plastic gun, you can get a P320. The problems with them are mostly fixed, and Sig has tried hard to make it into another Glock with all the accessories and frames you can buy. You'll get more options with the P320 but the P229 is tried and true.

Yeah, the only appeal of the P320 for me is the ability to have one gun for my summer carry + war belt gun. Otherwise I'd just get a P226 for a larp gun and a p365/glock 43X for a summer conceal carry.

You're going to be paying more much having several frames + their accessories than just getting a compact. Also I meant to type P229, not P220.

consider a cheap P250 if you mostly want a good quality pistol that is reasonably light but is modular and easy to work with, although you might not like the rather long DAO trigger. it's a precursor to the P320 and shares many components, although hammer fired instead. magazines and grip modules can interchange. the usual suspects were dumping them on the market and since for a SIG handgun it was a marketing failure, the pistol itself is pretty decent quality. the older version and newer version have different grip modules and magazine floorplates (the second gen being P320 compatible and featuring an accessory rail).

Don't have much personal experience but a guy I know loves his. Although he has all expensive parts and primarily uses the metal frame AXG grip module. By no means am I a sig fanboy, but I dont buy the reports of accidental discharges post the fix to drop safety.

I will say, I fucking hate sig's website and naming. None if it makes sense to me. You'd think they film porn or something with how many X's they put in their shit.

Reading through TSA regulations for flying with guns, I understand the whole rifle stuff but for pistols, can't put the hard case inside luggage that goes into the cargo hold as it has to be check separately, makes it obvious that there is a pistol in the cargo hold.

for flying with a firearm, handguns must be in carry-on luggage, and be in a locked container separated from any ammunition. firearms must also be declared to the TSA, who can elect at any time to inspect the handgun for compliance. note that there is no regulation that stipulates a "TSA approved" lock. those luggage locks are generally extremely poor security. get a good Abloy lock on a Hardigg/Pelican case and force the TSA to ask you to unlock it. do not use a soft case. if a hard case is too expensive, look for cheap musical instrument cases in your area.
I just flew with a pistol first time last week.

Went over the TSA and Southwest websites. Pistol was locked in hard case with Master padlock, loaded magazine in same case (weapon unloaded), packed in checked suitcase. Declared at counter, had to open suitcase for attendant to tag gun case; she didnt ask to open the gun case. Counter attendant asked me to sit in some nearby seating for about 15 minutes before going to security in case TSA had any issues to address. Waited the 15 and then went to my gate. No issues.

yeah it's pretty smooth if you just follow regs. however i did want to impress that "Master Lock" locks tend to be very poor security for the money asked and function more as a deterrent against casual opportunistic theft or common physical attack. the point of a lock is to deter or buy time afterall. someone determined will overcome pretty much any passive security device like a pad lock. it's also worth pointing out (that surprisingly many people i've met seem to not really understand) that your valuables are probably worth protecting with more than a cheap lock, or a lock/case/container that might not be secure enough.

That's actually a really good idea.

I replaced my nozzle for my printer the other day and it's printing really smoothly. The resolution for cheap 3d printers nowadays is amazing. But still, even if they're very faint, you can still see the striations. You can't get rid of them 100%.

Sanding them down can work but it takes awhile and if you're not careful, can look uneven. Spraypaint is probably a lot easier and would probably be more effective.
If your material has a common and inexpensive solvent that vaporizes easily you can do a vapor dome. Just fill a small dish with the solvent, place it by the item, and then cover with a big upside down bowl. As the solvent volatilizes the vapor will fill the bowl and deposit really slowly and evenly across the surface layer. Just wipe the item every few hours and the very mild pressure of a soft cloth should smooth it out.

ATF email leaked. They plan to go down the chain for these forced reset triggers. Plan is to raid FFL's that recieved these, take whatever they have of them, get as much customer info as possible, and HAVE STATED THEY WILL GO DOOR TO DOOR TO COLLECT THESE. The meme's are over, they are literally going to come to your house and take your "gun". Hope you paid with cash.

Funny how he mentions oath breaking when these scumbags oath break everytime they go into work.

People are already trying to throw cold water on this, but the statement is pretty clear and the GOA is a respected source.

I hate the American Government, May the Lord God smite every faggot politician and send them to the deepest pits of hell for the crime of allowing an army of Gun Thugs to run roughshod over the law and even create new laws even though such an act is outside of their authority
Death to America, may its enemies prevail everywhere, in every instance.
