r/antiwork - Yes, it's exactly what it sounds like.

How will society function without jobs?

You should see the PhD's publishing in some fields.
I wish I didn't know how right that is. In my field I see papers by people who shouldn't even be allowed within a hundred feet of a university being published in major journals. If I see the phrase "black bodies" used one more time in a paper that isn't about the physics of light I'll blow my top.

You can learn almost anything online.
This can create "expert beginners" who might do a project following a tutorial or two, get something that works but who never understand the fundamentals and can never really progress.

Also the internet is the most distracting place in the universe to try and study. One click way to binge videos or coom or whatever. No wonder NEETs that brag about learning advanced mathematics and 5 languages in their abundant free time just end up binging anime and porn.

I'd pay good money to see r/antiwork seriously debate whether or not creators on OnlyFans or Twitch should unionize. That discussion might actually lead to a civil war within the subreddit.
I know Vaush was confronted about this. ( Owe you the clip, if i have a chance to look it up i'll add it.) He is constantly shilling unionizing and co-ops yet he just hires the people who work on his content per gig instead of giving them equal shares. His response was just the usual:
"it doesn't apply to me , because..."

Is like the capitalists are always someone else, all the constraints should apply to those rich fucks, not them, they can profit all the want with as much margin possible because reasons.

this is so h

When I did mostly research in medicine or Ochem (mainly with catalysis) when going through systematic/scoping reviews prior for our protocols it all looked good but then when I got into public policy research...I saw what you're describing and it's so hurtfully true with some of the literature i've seen. At some point I had to do a literature review and the sheer amount of issues (methodological, stats bullshit, etc) I could see were outstanding. I, basically a retarded scrub of an indentured servant could see all these issues and no one else could? I refuse to think that's the case these assholes and peer review committees HAVE TO KNOW, these assholes know it and it still flies, i'm so MATI that can't even express my rage adequately. Hell I got so well acquainted with the PRISMA guidelines as an undergrad it still haunts me, I don't understand what faggotry let's this shit fly.

Why is it always a tranny? :story:

I did some more digging. Nick Ford had his name changed to Doreen Ford. Doreen Ford isn't just an alias, it's his/her legal name now.
it looks like that person has moved out of New Hampshire, so the data on the CV is most likely outdated or just a mailing address.

Doreen Ford is listed as a current master student at the philosophy department of Boston College, which means that he/she has since graduated from the University of New Hampshire Manchester.

I think now that we have different names, email address and so on, they should be categorized and displayed on the front page.
