I was downtown when the hockey riot started in Vancouver. These things can also get destructive really fast out here. One moment everyone was outside like a street party, next moment, people start flipping police cars and shit around me going nuts.

Yeah but that was a hockey riot, which is practically tradition when one's team loses the playoffs. I was at Vaughan Mills yesterday, and I honestly never felt like it was going to devolve into something violent. It was nothing but smiles and overwhelming positivity all around, and there were tons of families with young children in attendance. If anything I imagine that this is what it was like when Terry Fox was doing his cross country marathon. In spite of all the regionalism and petty internal squabbles (East Canada vs West Canada, ROC vs Quebec etc.), Terry became a symbol for a cause that all Canadians could rally behind.

Oh I agree. I really don’t hope TPTB don’t try to turn this into another January 6th. It sounds like the organizers are aware of this, and trying to monitor things closely. From what I understand, they have former military intelligence / law enforcement officers helping them out in this regard.

Apparently as the lead elements of the convoy rolled into Ottowa, the final parts were rolling out of Manitoba.

That's 928km, or 576 miles.

Whoever just showed up is early, the west convoy is somewhere near North Bay, east convoy is in Quebec (Quebec City? idk). But if 230 trucks showed up a whole 24 hours early, that's very interesting...

Shout out to Terry Fox. Led by example, focused on the goal instead of virtue signaling, and did more for cancer research/activism than every "current year" sjw combined. Truly one of the greatest Canadians of all time.
