The only selection pressure on viruses is spreading faster because guess what that's how they become the dominant strain. Weaker mutations just peter out.

There's also the fact that viruses that target humans have the factor that if we figure out we can actually completely eliminate them, we do that. Like smallpox. Scary viruses that kill a lot of people also really incentivize this extermination approach when we have it available.

Have you seen users here doing things like revenge rating someone's older post because they were slighted by that person once? Or mass positive-rate post that add close to nothing to the subject of the thread?

Highlights here consist of "QBoomers" and "Nazis." All I see is an equal amount of political sperging on both sides. Users self-segregate, then give each other ass pats on their home court, then certain exceptional users only join the opposing thread to fling shit and gather neg-rates.
