That was only part of it. They clearly hate him for being a good-looking man who was either not attracted physically to them (Jamie) or was but realized there wasn't much going for it so asked they remain friends (Monica). It's about being jilted while also being envious of the fame and attention, and talent, he was getting. It's possible they were more-or-less influenced by Chris Sabat for the same reasons, but women are vipers like that.

Everyone from fujoshis to former con staff/volunteers to people at AnimeNewsNetwork and Funimation all had petty reasons for not liking Vic. It was practically a perfect storm of pettiness.

But, Vic had not been cast for a top role for some time before DBS: Broly. 2019 would have been a possible shot to the arm of Vic's career had these scumbags not done this. The Funi cliq absolutely knew he would have been in greater demand at conventions and they couldn't handle the idea of dealing with more of Vic's fans.

No, but Monica, @Ron Toye, Chris Sabat and his wife met the Yost Twins in September of 2018.
Vic was confirmed as Broly's VA in October.

The one thing that remains a mystery is when did Vic have his phone call with the person at Funimation about further ADR spots?
That could be a key because that person or Vic probably told someone involved with the cliq (knowing Vic, he probably told Monica).

I would say it's all of the above plus being virtue signaling sjws. Being a sjw is all about hate and destroying people who aren't exactly your mindset especially when given an easy chance to do so. Also correct me if I'm wrong but aren't there a bunch of other Funi actors who openly defended Vic. I know Wendy Powell, Brian Drummond, and Caitlin Glass did. Also fun fact: Many VAs and Funi people who shit on Vic still follow him on Twitter and have interacted with tweets passed 2019. Make of that what you will. Also Todd Haberkorn and Eric Vale got accused literally the same time they voiced there side of the Vic situation.

The Dragon Ball stuff is recorded at Okatron, which is in LA. So, I don't think it'd be much of an inconvenience for Sean since NYAV Post also has an LA Branch, which is how he was able to reprise Gaston in the Berserk Golden Age Arc film trilogy.

Chris Sabat was going to give a tour there during KamehaCon 2019.
But, apparently, there is another studio at 210 N Pass Ave, Burbank, CA? It's temporarily closed at the moment.
