A small thing that stood out to me was Ian's comment about the boxing being emasculating. Ian seemed to suggest that Sam was only "emasculating" him because he "had more experience boxing", as if it wasn't simply that Sam is far larger and stronger. Also, the very notion that doing a little boxing sparring with a bigger guy makes you feel emasculated is rather sad, and, at least to me, further highlights that Ian saw this as adversarial and not just guys having a bit of fun.

The absolute fucking state of Ian in all the new footage and new framing of shots we've seen.
In Sam's video, Ian looks like he's been fucked with, and isn't dealing with it great, but that things are actually all in good humour. Shit like trashing the office, the stupid tricycle cars makes it so obvious Sam is taking the piss, and in Sam's footage it looks like he's aware of the joke (he even calls Sam out in the office when he first arrives), but just frustrated that he's not getting to this entirely serious level with Sam.

In Ian's footage, that's not the fucking case at all. He's not tired of the jokes, he's oblivious to them. He actually buys into the routine and is mad the entire time. He literally whines about being emasculated and comes across like an autistic Jimmy Kimmel in the car footage. Expressly asking Sam to clarify after every statement whether the statement is a joke or serious. The agonising wearing a mask in the passenger seat of a drive-thru segment felt like I was watching a scene out of some bizarre PurePwnage/Peep Show mashup.

Watching Sam's cut of the interview I came away thinking Ian was just frustrated that his early workwas keeping him from corpo/big time gigs, saying something about wishing he could get a Netflix budget. And it felt like he was there to see if Sam was having a worse time than him so Ian could at least get a hit of copium from still being allowed on YouTube as opposed to Sam's monetisation banishment but was deflated that Sam was doing fine.

Turns out, Ian actually was just trying to run a retarded, hit piece with no any self awareness, being really obvious in his interviews that he was trying to build a narrative and what angle he was going for while completely falling for every goof and feeling scared and emasculated because a guy tried to make a funny video with him after Ian asked him to.

Did Ian never understand comedy and his early career was just 3 years of flukes? Did he suffer brain trauma off camera that we don't know about? Has his relationship with Anisa just worn away his sense of humour and ability to communicate? Either way, guy's a fucking state.

In Ian's version he includes a part from their sparring where Sam wallops Ian hard in the body and Ian gets the wind knocked out of him. I don't remember this being included in the Sam doc, I remember Sam being light and sort of coaching Ian in his doc. Which is weird, thinking about what each of them wanted to convey and specifically what they wanted to convey about themselves. Sam portrayed himself as a man greater than Ian but still humble enough to show Ian the way to greatness, while Ian is portraying himself as a weak and oblivious bitch. Why? I expected Ian to make Sam look like an asshole, as he said, but I didn't expect him to also make himself look like such a bitch.
