It probably is true. Mr. Oinkers probably lives paycheck to paycheck eating at those restaurants, thinking that his in demand job will always be there for him.

Meanwhile, every rich person i know got that way by putting their money into a profit-seeking venture, not throwing it away on overpriced food. If they do eat overpriced food, it's because someone else is paying for it.

The people who can afford to spend their own money recklessly don't have jobs. They are beyond that level of wealth.

What exactly can the Canadian military do? They have around 80 Tank transports I suppose could be repurposed as tow trucks, I guess? But how exactly do they propose positioning them to actually get the vehicles out of the downtown core? Worse, all those transports are scattered around the country. Getting them all to Ottawa will be a chore in and of itself, and that doesn't assume protestors don't see them coming and block the roads, just making the situation even worse. I am trying to think about what military options Trudeau actually has that does not completely delegitimize his government. Nothing comes to mind.

The solution is pretty simple. Just remove the Vaccine mandate to cross the land borders. Its a minor concession that won't actually solve the issue of Trudeaus authoritarian overreach, but it will be enough to give the protest a Win and wrap things up. The problem Trudeau has however he's already called these people white supremacist Nazi's, and whipped his base up with it. Even the smallest concession would mean "surrendering to literally the worst people".

The standard playbook is really backfiring here.

They drive into the Rocky Mountains to do field exercises, then drive back to Cold Lake to light shit off and hang about. Sometimes they go to the Tim Hortons. I mean, it's the Canadian Military. They're just UN Peacekeeper expendables or utilized when Toronto has a snowstorm. No one actually takes them seriously.

I don't even have anything against the military, but I've never really seen them do anything. Even during Wildfire season it's better to just poach crews from different provinces than to get them involved.
