I get that people want to believe she's gonna change, and the last few pages have been optimistic as fuck, but this is Kayla. She's not going to get better, she's not going to grow up, and she's not going to fix anything until she's forced into it. People don't change because they want to; they do it because they have to, and she isn't there yet. Maybe her parents will eventually toss her out on her ass and she'll be forced to grow up, but until then she's going to be exactly the way she is now.

Given that Springy also has Sans as one of their fictionkin, I feel like Kayla and Springy broke up after a battle of dominance to see who could be the Real Sans™. Since Kayla is well, Kayla, it only took Springy "appropriating" Kayla's "identity" as a fat cartoon skeleton to make Kayla realize how terrible they were, and not, y'know, their ongoing abusive behaviour.

Edit: I went a bit further back and will add the caps later when I'm back at my desktop, but yes, the catalyst was definitely the fact both of them claim to be Sans -- or more on point, Kayla wised up that Grease was just fucking with her, and otherwise ignoring her, as is Greasy's usual pattern that multiple people recognized and warned her about.

Going through her Vent, Kayla is still stomping her feet and screaming suicide at the slightest wrongdoing -- just not on tumblr. She hasn't changed a bit, and sorry to pop the optimists' bubbles on that one.

Most of these are directly about Greasetrap, who is now threatening to kill herself on her tumblr (bpdmetaton). Highlights: Kayla talks about Matt Miller beating Grease up.

That's the thing, too, she's going to a psychiatrist. A therapist cant prescribe pills, but have to be 'sympathetic' and aren't usually trained to diagnose people. A PSYCHIATRIST, on the other hand, can tell as soon as someone walks in the door whether someone is what they say they are; She doesn't have DID or schizophrenia and that'll be obvious to anyone with a medical license. Which makes this:

Well shiver me timbers, I've only ever bothered to snag looks at her Tumblr so I hadn't the slightest about her sperg-fest over on the vent site.

So she really did break up with an abusive asshat over identifying as a fictional character. It's absolutely fucking exceptional but ine some sense she's at least out of one garbage relationship, and likely to flop right into another. Maybe with somebody who kins as Toriel or some other Undertale character so her "identity" isn't stolen.
