Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

As a fellow artist, I can sympathize with him. There have been times when I've made pro-globohomo art for furries, when I don't believe it myself. You can't really determine the artist's true beliefs from a single image about it.

But this is an editorial cartoon, so lol. You chose to draw it yourself, the idea coming from you. You could've easily put nuance into an editorial cartoon. Picture's worth a thousand words, after all. Pathetic. And even if you were commissioned for the image, perhaps by the writer of the article (don't know the original article it most likely accompanied so giving the benefit of the doubt), your pinned tweet could've said that, instead of this which I don't even see how it's him backpedalling.

Sorry for reply to old post, still going through the thread.
I happen to be somewhat familiar with the cartoonist's body of work. I do not think the fascism trucks cartoon is substantially different from his regular stuff (only worse than usual), unless his entire career has been him getting paid to draw stuff he doesn't believe.

What are they going to do if they're outside of Ottawa. Do they think they're magically going to arrest and deport them to the city for trial? That's just going to create more anger.
They mentioned it would be police specifically that they would be watching. It's probably a repeat of Rittenhouse and sheriffs donating, wrongful termination clauses to be pursued against the city. It seems like the chief is basically dealing with harmless boomers and shrieking Karens and is just trying to navigate between both, but its not criminal to donate to any organization in Canada assuming they aren't an official terrorist group, and even then, its hard to charge someone for donations. Most criminal donations charges are for over limits to electoral parties.

Seems like the Rebel News guys are back at Coutts so we'll get some more firsthand footage.

I don't have a background in law, so your guess is as good as mine. Maybe there is someone in this thread that could shine some light on some of the possibly outcomes. I guess what happens depends on what goes down in the next few days (ex: violent false flag) and the nature of the charges, if any.

Already wrote a nastygram to GFM about this shit.

They would be well within their legal (but not moral) rights to just shut down the fundraiser and refund everyone. But shutting it down and unilaterally choosing to divert customer funds (READ: fundamentally altering the contract) ex post facto is not legal in any common law jurisdiction. It violates basic contract law in both implicit and explicit ways. I find it highly unlikely their legal department signed off on any of this, much less announcing it on A BLOG POST ON A THIRD-PARTY WEBSITE. They didn't send an email to contributors notifying them of the fundamental change in terms they made.

I assume they think their arbitration clause is air tight. They also assume nobody is going to file individual arbitrations. To be honest if all the aggrieved parties here filed arbitrations GoFundMe would BEG to turn the case into a class action lawsuit.

It appears the message Canadian libs have settled on is that opposing vax mandates for truckers is just like belonging to the America nKKK, and I am very confused. Leaf kiwis, is there some popular belief in your country that the KKK was formed to oppose smallpox vaccines or something?
That cartoon is sarcastic. It's supposed to be deliberately absurd.
