Yes, but this book could've been framed as 'Neo-Nazi content' so idk.
The point is that someone who explicitly bans antifa from their site isn't likely to consider a war memoir to be neo-Nazi content (especially since, according to Ian, the manuscript makes no mention of any such topics) just because some (soon to be banned) antifa members sent them nasty emails.

Yes, but this book could've been framed as 'Neo-Nazi content' so idk. I too hate that free speech inevitably leads to 'nigger nigger nigger and they're the kikes' fault too'.
It really wouldn't be a problem if not for how overt and overbearing the censorship on every mainstream platform has become. If you don't hold those beliefs why would you leave the mainstream platform when you can stay there? And so inevitably anyone who touts free speech can only attract people who wouldn't even have a voice anywhere else. I don't think these companies understand that if they laxed up on their ToS when it came to unacceptable opinions they'd probably see these actual fringe groups go through a diaspora and more or less die out again.

It's strange how history repeats itself, Ukrainians, Latvians, Estonians, etc that wanted to fight the Russians during WWII couldn't join the regular Wehrmacht and could only serve in SS units. 70 years later foreigners that wanted to fight Russians couldn't enlist in the regular Ukrainian army and had to join the Azov Bn.
To be fair, if I ran the Ukrainian Army I wouldn't want to have to deal with integrating a ton of LARPers who probably don't even speak the language into regular units. Foreign fighters are common a whole range of conflicts, but in ones when they are primarily attracted by ideology (ex: westerners who went to fight with the Kurds in Syria and Arabs who went to Afghanistan during the war with the Soviets) they are often not the best soldiers and instead are kept around in support roles because they can be useful for political reasons and in getting funds and supplies. It's not like a handful of Swedish dudes is going to be the thing that stops a Russian invasion, so having them join militias instead is pretty sensible.
The SS in WWII often used non-German recruits in areas that were at or near to their homes, at least early on, since the SS leadership realized that they needed manpower and that a lot of various local populations would fight for them for various reasons. Like Bosnians and Croatians were happy to sign up to the SS if it meant getting to fight Serbians.

what a fucking cucked faggot, pulling a book because 20 Nonbinary they/them BLM ACAB woketards threw a shitfit? Karl may be a fucking faggot but at least he has never gotten on his knees and started suckling on frankendick flesh tubes begging for forgiveness

Ian needs to learn that the very vast majority of his audience are conservative white autists and not effete gender freak communist faggots

Its very odd to me that they didn't vet anything about this situation. He truly looks blindsided by the whole thing and I cannot understand how he(or anyone else associated with the publishing) was unaware that the subject matter would lead to backlash.

Cucking out is bad, with that said, the fact that he wanted to publish it with an eye only to the interesting material rather than the overall political environment gives me a good impression of his mentality towards these things.

I don't like how a lot of these "Good you realized this was a bad idea" comments are in a group subject. It's not "I forgive your mistake", it's "WE forgive your mistake". It makes it come off more a mob got real angry at him and didn't like him trying to do something different and a bit against the grain.
tldr antifa fags are a hive mind

"WE forgive you this time, Ian, but WE will be monitoring for further wrongthink."

I wonder if any private collections might quietly become unavailable to him if they learn of this.

Given how heavily Brandon Herrera and Donut have been slobbering over Black Rifle Coffee Companies cock, I wouldn't be particularly surprised to find out they were compromised. No one who is willing to promote that bunch of cucks and their shit-tier coffee is to be trusted.

From what I've heard, Black Rifle Coffee forces a lot of folk to bend the knee and suck their dick for funding for their stuff.

I know there have been rumors that Donut got a major acting gig on a Vet TV show BECAUSE Black Rifle threatened to yank their funding from Donnie O'Malley's Vet TV website if he didn't. And that Black Riffle's meddling with content on Vet TV led to O'Malley losing his two main writers/actors (Fernando Rivera and Greg Kelly; who besides acting in various supporting roles, wrote about 90% of Vet TV's original programming). Both Rivera and Kelly got tired of Black Riffle demanding plugs in their works and casting gigs for their friends, along with the rumors that the recent accusations about O'Malley not paying writers for ideas were orchestrated by Black Riffle Coffee over O'Malley telling them off when they tried production of S2 of "A Grunt's Life" from O'Malley by demanding he cast their friends and demanding script approval, to "send a message to him" for defying them.

I got the contextless apology video in my subscriptions and came here to see wtf Ian was talking about. Bizarre but not surprising that you have to be careful about publishing potentially offensive war stories not because of you know, the killing and maiming, but because of spicy flags.
We're so desensitized to depictions and descriptions of terrible shit that first world problems dictate the flavor of fighter to be the problem.

I'd read battlefield commentary from anyone; perspective of a current-day fighting force, militia or otherwise, in a hellish slapfight with Russia is interesting as hell. But we're robbed of it because of these retards.

Is it true desensitization or is that we're so far from removed from it we cannot truly comprehend it in the first place?

Desensitized to the descriptions of it, primarily, but so far removed from actual duress and suffering that violence in one's vicinity seems almost otherworldly indeed. When you see videos of people getting killed - beaten to death, stabbed, or shot - there's a shocking amount of disbelief from bystanders a good portion of the time.

Name dropping the Azov Battalion screwed him. I wish he had played his cards closer to the chest on this one. A real shame too, he looked really broken up about not being able to do it.
All Ian had to do is say that the first hand experience of two first world countries engaging in warfare is way more important than what the authors views on Jews and coons may be. I mean shit, where his fanbase expecting liberals to be down to go fight in a bloody civil war?

What I don't understand is the logic that Nazis are so bad that you can't talk about them. If they're terrible, won't their actions prove it? It's irritating (on purpose).

Does anyone have an archive of Ian's announcement video for the book?
