Aha. Due to the fact that the reply contains no directed abuse, swearing or such, we can take it that it got a warning notice because the person will have been instantly blocked by Tube, thus alerting twitter to auto-flag.

What exactly is their obsession with landlords? I could understand huge management companies, or financial institutions gobbling up properties (Blackstone, etc.), but “Alice” and Olly seem to be talking about someone who owns one property. Personally, IMO, providing a shelter at fair market value and charging rent for it is way more ethical than grifting off of impressionable, sexually confused young people and using your parasocial relationship with them to market merch etc.
When Olly was on that retarded “queer” panel a few months back the host asked him what he wants for troons? He said equal health care and “free housing while we’re at it.” That would be “for starters.” The panel nodded approvingly. Like, what? Lol. Is this a part of Marxist thought? They just want “free” houses for everyone? Or just for troons? Honestly I’m asking? Is Olly an avowed Marxist? Or does he just throw out something like that to sound woke or whatever? Has he ever articulated his political worldview as far as economics?

In communism there's a distinction between "personal" and "private" property, if you use it in your day to day life, it's personal, if you use it to extract wealth from others, its private. Communists believe that resources that are essential to survive and be productive in a modern, industrial society should not be in the hands of a wealthy few, so society should be oriented to allow everyone to engage in work meaningfully and profit from their work the way they would if they owned the business they work for. Yes, agreed. I’m only interested in it inasmuch as what Olly has said, or what he presents as his views on such things.
I know he made the “Work” video which talked about “exploitation” etc, but I don’t know if we’ve heard him declare himself a socialist full stop. I’m just remarking on the fact that he tosses these things out but doesn’t really elucidate on anything, given that he’s a “philosopher” lol.
He said during the “queer” panel that he just wants one British political party to come out in full support of trans rights, regardless if it’s Tory or Labor. Or anything else. So I guess any class politics are well and truly in the rear view and it’s “trans power!” full steam ahead.
Presumably the only reason he has a landlord or still rents rather than owns is because he wants to get out of the UK and stalk Contra full time. I guess it’s hard to articulate your class analysis when exploiting teenagers and twenty somethings and your fetish take up all of your time.

It is funny to me that so much of breadtube is people with no clear ideology aside from complaining about bigotry in pop culture, which is one of the few things most working class people can agree is of interest to nobody besides academic busybodies. Even the trans rights thing is obvious culture war obsession with moralism rather than any materialistic concern (the trans wage gap statistic posted by antiwork jannies still gets a chuckle out of me. You'd think they'd know better than to post that immediately after one of their own admitted to walking dogs part time on national tv.)

Isn't this completely true for approx. 95.7% of the CURRENT YEAR "commies"? Claiming to be communists while being completely detached from the actual working class, parading "progressive social justice&equity" causes instead of pursuing traditional left-wing policies, a total disregard for material reality, no solid knowledge and at best a sketchy understanding of economy and communist theory, a profound lack of real life experience. Perfectly describes Breadtube, its audience, and most of the "Modern Left".
I can respect Slavoj Zizek even if I don't agree with his politics or understand half of his philosophy. I won't even entertain the thought of respecting people whose hot takes include "HATSUNE MIKU WROTE HARRY POTTER SHE SAYS TRANS RIGHTS" and "just abolish the police and prisons, kill landlords, eat the rich, give us free shit now".
He might want to but if he's trying to become the first tranny 007 he's even more delusional than I thought. IMO the most "progressive" choice that isn't going to completely alienate the fan base would be Idris Elba - who could play the role based purely on his charisma, acting chops, and looks. Olly has none of those.

Yeah for real. Tooba is many things but coy is not one of them, he will jump at the chance to get attention and these are the perfect circumstances for that. He's either unhappy with the results, still not healed enough to be presentable, or enjoying making everyone wait and daydreaming about the big reveal.
