Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

The only people who believe what the govt is saying about this ~racist violent occupation movement~ are the people who don't a) go outside or b) don't look for information themselves - but the longer this goes on, the more those people have a chance to see it for themselves and change their minds. That's why they want to crush it ASAP.
I wouldn't be surprised if a few counter-protesters flipped sides today after seeing it firsthand.
This is one of the big advantages of this freedom movement spreading out from Ottawa and dispersing to all major cities. Average people will see and experience things firsthand, rather than merely hearing what the lying press and lying officials have to say about it.

Not only that, but with localized protests, the authorities will have a lot of stuff to manage all at once, both in terms of attention and resources being split. No more deploying the Toronto police to Ottawa, for example, because they're needed where they're supposed to be in Toronto.

Furthermore, there should be a lot more attendees. It's a lot easier for someone who lives in Scarborough to afford the time and money commitment to visit the demonstration in Toronto than Ottawa, let alone people much farther away, such as Vancouver or Halifax.

If anyone gets shot, it would be a counter protestor shooting someone completely unprovoked
Hence, reverse Kyle Rittenhouse.

I remember in the minutes following the shooting, there was a lot of speculation that Rittenhouse was some asshole who was going for a high score against them coloreds.

Thought you meant reverse in terms of ideologies, my mistake. I don't think enough counter protestors are the types of people that would own guns, especially in Canada, so my doubt holds strong

The Star commentor, "Michael", wants to open the border for American Military intervention in Coutts, Ab. to quell the honkening. I assure you, that from their post history, this was written without a hint of irony.
Michael said:
If our side can't deal with it open the border and let the Americans deal with them I don't think they'll be a sympathetic they don't seem to realize that the border has two sides and both sides have this policy

How long until reverse Kyle Rittenhouse, I wonder.
Someone already tried it in Winnipeg. A 'truck of peace' situation, where a counter-protester ran over 4 protesters (zero kills), and was later arrested. If things keep going the way they seem to be going, at some point someone will get killed (probably once again a counter-protester trying to kill truckers) and things will escalate.

Its not like these sorts of things are unheard of. In our own lifetimes too. I am just trying to wrap my mind around the mentality. These sorts of protests don't just come out from nowhere. These aren't bored college kids. These are people with jobs, lives and families. They think there is sufficient threat to their rights as citizens that they should petition their government for redress of grievance.

When those bitches started talking about the war powers act, the police chiefs body posture changed dramatically.

That is the picture of a very worried man.

If the response of the government to these protests is to try and crack down, they really cut down their ability to deescalate the situation. Any number of things can go wrong at that point. The BEST case scenario is the crack down works, this time, but leaves everyone pissed off for the next few decades. Every other scenario goes from really bad to really. fucking. bad. What if the cops refuse to do anything. What if they bring in the Army, and the ARMY joins the protest. What if a firefight breaks out and bodies start hitting the floor.

These are all things anyone in power needs to be thinking about when they consider stuff like this, but these idiots are talking about it so flippantly like its just another day at city hall and its time to vote on raising property taxes. Its unreal.
Fuck the police and all that, but Sloly has done a done a good job thus far. You can't just capitulate outright, he has sent resources to the places the ought to be sent, and has shut down all attempts by the establishment to escalate, quickly revealing misinformation in the media, and pushing back on demands to bring in outside agencies or escalate. His goons have so far responded appropriately to a raucouse but otherwise peaceful demonstration.

Get a load of this cultist:

DnD larp taken too far on the shirt, autistic scientism slogan on the sign. Seeing shit like this makes me want to drop my physics degree.
People like this would often chug down whatever the scientific monthly was putting out this week. So many of these people want to make themselves out to be smarter then they really are.

So there's still a chance for Tiananmen Square 2.0 to happen from this?
Less tienimen square and more
like in the euromaidan protest's when several of the protesters got shot and overthrow the parliment building type deal

hahaha, Ottawa's police chief just call it a nationwide insurrection!
I mean Trudeau's weakness turned it into a nation wide insurrection. He could have addressed the protests quietly ended the mandates and pulled a Boris Johnson.

After a couple years of doomposting and blackpills, I'm glad an overwhelming amount of people agree this protest is white pill overdosing
I mean everyone's tired of the lockdowns and mandates and we're living under the tyranny of the shrill minority who simply have too much control.

Democracy is fake and gay.
To the chagrin of many liberals, Senator Mike Lee once said that democracy is not an end unto itself. Liberty, prosperity, and happiness are.

And as Churchill famously said, it's the least bad among many shitty alternatives. Government is an inherently shitty business, because it is the business of bossing people around.

I get the impression that he knows the score. He's hoping everyone gets bored, and beyond that is hoping there is a political solution that doesn't involve him. That is the gist I got from what he was saying when he said he didn't have the resources or authority to do what those deranged cunts were asking of him. He didn't outright SAY he can't do it. He's a political creature after all, but that was very clearly the subtext and those cunts very clearly realized that was what he meant. That was when they started talking about war powers and national defense emergencies and other retarded escalations.

If those bitches are representative of the kinds of people advising Trudeau, Canada is in deep shit. Trudeau does not have a solitary ounce of personal agency. He's the literal embodiment of the NPC Meme. Nothing I have seen from the man indicates he has an iota of backbone or guiding philosophy undergirding his governing style. The smart play is to just throw the protests a bone and after a few months of face saving slowly lift the mandates. But everything I am seeing indicates these idiots are taking this challenge to their power personally, and that is dangerous. The King is not a person. He's the embodiment of the State. He (or she) is not allowed to have feelings that can be offended.

Trying to crack down because your fee fees are hurt is a terrible idea.
