"Why Women Engage in Anal Intercourse: Results from a Qualitative Study"

"The primary goal of the current study was to uncover a wide range of reasons as to why heterosexual, drug-abusing women engage in anal intercourse."

"Secondary goals included gaining a deeper understanding of the context of the anal intercourse, women’s perceptions of risk related to anal intercourse, women’s emotional and physical experiences during anal intercourse, and the role of substance abuse in all aspects of the anal intercourse encounter."

"As can be seen in Fig. 1, there were six main reasons that women chose to engage in anal intercourse: they were high and under the influence at the time; because of their own desire; to please a sexual partner; they wanted to avoid vaginal sex (having menstrual period); quid pro quo exchange situations; and situations where they did not explicitly consent, either because they did not know they had a right to refuse or because they were coerced/attacked."

I do it for enjoyment. (White, Group 4)
Personally, I like it; I wanted the ultimate workout and he gave it to me; I do like to have my salad tossed. (African American, Group 1)
lol
When we do drugs, most drugs we take, we know there’s going to be sex involved… It’s going to be like whether it’s right away (claps hands together), or, like, you know, the minute you do it (claps hands together) –BAM!–your clothes are already off or in the process of getting off. We know what’s coming. Or you made the trip and you go into a motel and you bring all your stuff and you get high and then you are going to have sex. Hours of sex. Hours, hours, hours, yeah. (White, Group 3)

Why drug abusing women specifically?

Edit: seems like there was correlation from an earlier study

It is about AIDS. Drug abusing woman are more likely to have aids (because of shared needles etc) and anal sex has a higher odds of transmitting AIDS even when heterosexuals do it.

They're also less likely to be in a monogamous relationship and are more likely to get raped than non-drugged up woman meaning you'll likely get different answers from normie woman who've tried anal than you do homless druggies, and the normie answers don't really matter.

I'm sure this study will come in handy the next time a homeless, heroin-addicted woman offers to let me rape her in the ass.

One thing I find interesting- besides the already mentioned facts, that this is a study of drugged out homeless women rather than normies, and that this study has a vanishingly small sample group (32??) - is that the study is about heterosexual behavior, yet evidently nobody told the druggies this.

Well most everyone that I know where I came from, homeless, which was under the freeway…everyone is kinky down there, you know. They swear they’re not doing her, her, her, or him, but really she’s doing her and he’s doing him and then it goes back to her type of stuff. Let’s just say the walls are down and nothing is limited…whatever goes, goes. (African American, Group 1)
Also, the authors state (predictably enough) that rape was one of the most common reasons given for anal sex. Yet I can only find one instance of rape cited in the paper (the authors claim two, but the first quoted instance reads more like consensual rough sex than rape; only the second clearly describes rape). One rape victim out of thirty-two seems extremely low to me, especially given that the sample group are homeless druggies. Maybe the takeaway here is that rape is actually LESS common than people assume?

An additional issue is that their sample is simply with "drug abusing women" that they pulled from outpatient treatment groups and STD treatment centers, but the preferred drug of abuse, and its effects, are going to differ significantly by area and thus I'd imagine women's reason for engaging anal sex would differ as well.

Specifically the one woman suggests she's going to be having sex for "hours and hours and hours" which means we're dealing with stimulant abusers, which is a class known for inducing highly fetishistic behavior, and to be very racist for a second they're interviewing almost exclusively black women, who tend to be retards (retards love stimulants because they're too stupid to experience anxiety). Combine someone who's already stupid with a drug that makes you think everything is an amazing idea (especially fetishistic shit) you're going to get people who'd probably be taking up the butt for more...personal reasons, and who you'd be more likely to encounter in STD treatment centers.

Meanwhile if you went to other areas especially towards the Northeastern US, heroin is a far more common substance of abuse which tends to have a diminishing effect on libido, meaning a far larger percentage of heroin abusing women would be liable to engage in anal sex due to necessity rather than enjoyment.

So my point is take this study to someplace that's mainly white and hispanic opiate abusers, and I'm willing to bet you'd get vastly different results.
