Found this from @buperac on the Twit. It seems like police are seizing fuel to try baiting out aggression from the protestors so they can justify making more arrests and doing some kind of harm.

I assume the truckers are scrappy individuals, so there will be a fight or two, but I find it hard to believe that everything's going to be over very quickly. Given the shear amount of trucks and people around right now, I feel like this will go on for another month (or month and a half), and that's assuming that nobody outside Canada draws inspiration and conducts protests themselves.

I genuinely hope these freedom truckers will be alright. What they've done is amazing, especially in this day and age - standing up for their rights in peace - and they don't deserve to get mowed down for it. On the other hand, all those who claim to be 'on the right side of history' are violent, manic, and utterly unhinged.

This wont work. If it gets too bad people will just make runs out of the area to fill up their personal vehicles' tanks, and then coming back to the protest and siphon/pump it out again to transfer to the rigs.

This depends heavily on how many of their personal vehicles run on diesel.

Ok, so I think I got this straight. Police have a "no more fuel" rule that goes into effect tonight. Truckers had a stockpile a couple miles away in a Cambodian Tire parking lot. Cops move in and seize fuel. Around this time they send out minivans just in case the group downtown move to stop the cops on the other side of the canal from taking the fuel.

Did I get that right?

So is the issue the fuel stockpile or the fuel supply line? If you don't want combustibles near the police station, the trucks themselves could explode, if that's the justification, so even topping off a tank with your only can would be "dangerous."
