People are organizing in the streets, forming various small hubs, there are support networks forming, people are getting to know each other. There are spokespeople. Folks are bringing on jerry cans and small hand-held carts of fuel to the truckers, etc.

All you fucking do is step down from the dopamine-rush for one bloody moment, get some people organized and ask some tough questions of this group. If all checks out you help them out with what needs helping out, like again getting a phone-service working, a basic website or at least a social media profile, etc.

If it doesn't you publicly tell them to go fuck themselves, and you start a legitimate one.

Are you under the assumption we are physically at the protest? Is that why you are sperging? Because as far as I know nobody is. So no, we can't go form our own protest group with booze and hookers. You either donate or you don't. That's the entirety of the power we have. Both are fine, just calm down.

And, again, what the fuck is the military going to do? Even if they drag all the truckers to prison, the trucks are staying in the streets. They cannot compel the truckers to drive away - the only way those trucks are getting off the streets in a timely manner is if the truckers leave voluntarily.

There's a similar trend in the states, where "throw the National Guard at the problem and hope it stops" is the proposed solution.

Most cops in Canada work 12 hour shifts regularly with a four on, four off rotation. Two days, two nights, off for four. Placing someone in hospital, major investigations, and court all extend the shift. Locals, Provincials, Feds all use this schedule for the most part.

So unless things run differently in Ottawa (and they probably don't), Sloly was basically misrepresenting the facts to make it sound like the entire force was working overtime and were at their limits.

The last two weeks have shown me more Canadian flags on display than most Canada Day celebrations. After the last two years of demoralizations and the "We're all in this together! Now excuse me as I go visit my family and travel while you peasants stay home, alone, and don't go anywhere", this is a huge swelling of patriotism and rebellion.

The main reason why I'm in Montreal (even though I work from home) is that I help out my grandmother who lives very close to me, and that my family gives me heavily subsidized rent.

In case you ever wonder why I doompost, this is why. These people hate their opponents that much and they openly say it and what they're going to do when they have the power to go after those they hate. And when they speak that openly from a position to believe them, I think it's a logical move to believe them. I know the Sam Hyde quote, but these people have no reason to lie about anything, including hate, especially with all the backing they have. So in essence, every day we get closer to a "victory or death of..." scenario.

Canada has been a government of true believers since Trudeau took office. And they feel they're the model for the progressive utopia to come if they could just get rid of the desirables. Also, mobilize the troops. You know you want to.

There's only two steps left: 1, Bring in the military and 2. Nuke these truckers because you hate them that much and will do anything to get rid of them. Not sure what could be worse than that.
