You'd think Karen would be smart enough not to interact with people who court the very people who sought to end her career due to her comments in 2020. DUMB.
I'm going to assume that she isn't really aware of the situation or she wasn't paying attention to when all this stuff was happening in 2019. Regardless, it's a bad mistake.

Who talks like that to another human being, really? "Just feeling your beautiful soul" is hippie talk that sounds super fake on text. I know SJWs and feminists rimming each other say that just for good girl points, but I dunno. Something about it stinks.

So basically nothing happened except two harpies huffing each other's farts. Good to know. Can't wait for Nick to stream it.
The reaction to it seems incredibly muted imo. I haven't seen any of the usual victory lap touch down crap from the other side. They probably know two fake victims laughing it up with extra snark and admitting it was a coordinated smear job did not help them at all. Combined IQ of like 3 between them here.

I'm just waiting for Rekieta to rip it to shreds already.

I'd be confident about posting shit like this (as well as the podcast itself) too since the case has for all practical purposes been dead for what, two years now?

Considering most cases don't come back on appeal and this decision has been anything but expedited I'd be parading around the effective victory too. I mean honestly I'd still shut the fuck up, but I'd definitely feel as smug about it as they act

Curious.
The Risembool Rangers made a tweet about this:
Yet, Savannah Animazing (a convention that has been friendly to Vic in the past, mind you) mentions nothing about it on their Facebook page or their official site.
But the site mentions an Otaku Flea Market on Friday at the convention center, so is that where Vic will be?
So is Vic an official guest or what?
@Squally Maybe you can shed some light?
Sorry for the late reply. Unlike some who claim otherwise I actually work 12 hour shifts for a living.

SO HERES THE LO DOWN KIDS!
Next week Vic has the FAW in Kingsland. The owner of Savannah goes ‘hey! My shows that weekend. Wanna come in that Friday for the Otaku Fleamarket?” One because it would bring a nice draw for the market and Two because the two have a good working history.

So, we do up the media packets, advertise and-….what do you mean it’s gone?

There was a ton of positive interactions (and one troll i SWEAR just lurks in hopes of a fight or is a little weasel for WRAC-besides the point)

So it’s gone, right? I’m getting calls at work of people freaking out and call Vic going ‘might want to call so you’re not getting jerked around’

So those two have a convo and the organizer promises it will be back up within 24 hours. Really great except he put it back up 4 hours ago.

There’s no other guests that night except for whoever wants to show up. Vic is legit at an event designed for fans and people were throwing a fit and honestly speaks volumes of how their goal is to keep vic away from his fans. But that’s my Spergy opinion on the matter sprinkled in with the timeline of events. Looking forward there’s at least one announcement this week, finalization of another show and talks with a comic shop.

But please tell me again how Vic is washed up and no one wants to work with him?

I'm actually surprised ANN actually did this
They helped manufacture this smear job. This should not be surprsing at all. The site and the people behind it are rotten to the core.
Justin Sevakis was on the list as well, but he was informed and given a chance to defend himself and have others come to his defense. They didn't appreciate the false allegations presented by Emma Bowers, but everyone else sure did something about it she made allegations against Andy Signore.

Meanwhile, Dylan Kielman did not have any charges presented against him. He was pretty much ostracized from the anime community and convention scene. Of course the ANN staff obviously had to virtue signal how horrible and disgusting this person was for grooming troons, but did the bare minimum in regards of making him pay for his actions. Zac even vouched for the guy and brought him onboard. So much for "victims deserve to be heard and believed."

You know at this point when it comes to Funimation, the insufferable people who still work there and the sycophants who still defend it like it's still 2007 I am completely indifferent to all of them now.

It's like how most Star Wars fans feel who aren't in the fandom anymore when it comes to the Disney sequel trilogy. The Force Awakens had some potential for it to be good (I don't know for sure because I haven't watched it since 2016.) but after the next two films came out and the dismissing of any criticism no matter how constructive, legitimate or honest as sexist, manbabies complaining online and statements to the like of "If you don't like it, make something better yourself, if you can't do that shut up" most of the fandom pretty much gave up on ever getting these people to listen to them let alone respect them as people and walked away.

If you were to ask me personally how I really felt about all these people after what they did to Vic in 2019 and continued to do in 2020 onwards, I would've responded with anger and some level of hate explaining what petty, horrible, selfish people they all were. Nowadays I feel nothing but apathy and indifference towards them, I still think they're reprehensive people but it's a statement of fact now.

Pretty much the only fans/supporters that Funimation still has are utter sycophants who will deny anything is wrong with them similar to Rooster Teeth's fanbase. The people who still buy DVDs/Blu-rays either don't care or know about Funimation and are just buying Dragon Ball Z or whichever mainstream anime title is being sold there because it's at Wal-Mart or someplace similar.

I've said this before and I will say it again, the company most anime fans in the 2000s referred to as Funimation that was respected and revered to the point that there were anime fans who aspired to work there as voice actors is dead. The company is now a den of snakes owned by Sony, a media conglomerate.
