Miles Morales LP got too repetitive and boring for me to keep up with. Feels like 90% of each video is just menus and combat. Not entertaining and a waste of time.
I decided to give their Everhood LP a shot. Interesting game. The Undertale comparisons are obvious, but with an Indivisible twist in that its a sorta-RPG with a gimmick battle system. And like Indivisible, the story/setting has my curiosity but its the sort of combat system I'd hate to play myself.
The second episode is half them trying to do a really difficult sequence break, beating a pseudo-unbeatable boss situation, and Reggie is like "Can I give it a try? I know I never ask that..." and Woolie is like "Oh yeah man!" and Reggie actually does really well, better than Woolie. Not a critique. I enjoyed seeing them both really passionate and laughing and happy struggling and retrying something, passing controls back and forth.
Fingers crossed for this one. As much as we've all been focused on shitting on Woolie specifically... at least we find him worth talking about. And most of our "shitting on" him is really like "He'd be better if..." "He could save his channel if..." like, maybe the posts are "mean", but its almost like tough love. Of all the BFs, I kinda think we all might think or at some point thought he has/had the most potential to be successor to the SBFP legacy of all the solo stuff.
I'd love Matt's templates, his video types, heavily/tightly edited LPs and informational stuff in bitesized videos, but... with Pat instead of Matt. Instead of Pat's long mess shitshow streams. But then... that's what Two Best Friends was, huh? Sigh. And them keeping each other in check, calling out each others' bullshit instead of yes-man-ing.
