Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

O Canada! Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all our sons command.

With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North, strong and free!

From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

Don't worry. He'll be disappeared soon enough. There are no such things as Unicorns and there never were.
If we're allowed to be optimistic for a bit this could possibly be the first sign that the party's realized Trudy's burnt and they need to get away from him.

Right now, the two most pressing issues for the government to shut down are the Ottawa protest (obviously) for the psychological impact its having, and the Ambassador Bridge protest due to the massive amount of money/industry being impacted.

On that assumption, the only option left would be to use the military recovery vehicles to drag them out of there.

Very interesting. The assumption that Canada can only use its military to get the truckers out of there begs the question of what the truckers have to combat this. Needless to say, it's worth digging into.

They really shouldn't. A literal military crackdown is gonna be the worst possible move the government could do especially since there is no way to salvage that except for with the most die hard of zealots. On top of that the heavy military equipment is gonna chew all those roads to teeny tiny pieces which is a very bad idea when you get ice especially towards the end of winter when that ground's gonna turn into a quagmire in a month and the ice shunting will be a nightmare to deal with. On top of that they're gonna need to tow each vehicle for miles to get it out of the city which will be slow going and if the brakes on the trucks have been bled (and reportedly many of them have been) that's gonna pop tires and start shit on fire from brake friction.

This is purely the government's game to lose, and if they rough up the truckers who aren't resisting it'll look even worse.

One thing that just hit me. I hope to god this isn't causing any issues where temp controlled vans get stuck in the middle of a line they can't get out of. Only because alot of pet transport companies use temp controlled vans to transport their animals and if they get stuck and shit breaks down the animals are fucked. My mom used to do deliveries for a pet company and the van broke down in the middle of the desert and it was like 6 hours before she could get help, all the animals basically baked to death. I doubt that would happen since I would hope anyone driving would know this shit is happening but still.

First, completely blackout the media and coverage of the incident, Tiananmen Square style. Jam the cell networks, and then just start black bagging everyone, ignoring the trucks left behind.
Lol, this is Canada. The underpaid pajeets and diversity hires working for the RCMP and CSIS don't have the knowledge or technological capability to black out an entire city. Even if they bring in the phone jammers that won't do shit against satellite, wifi, or wired connections, and they cannot shut down every single internet connection so footage will be out almost immediately.

Well that and I highly doubt animals will bake to death in the middle of the winter in the North. They'll get mildly uncomfortable at the current temp.

JUST GOING TO LEAVE THIS HERE

Possible glowshit in Ottawa. Take these with a massive salt lick.

Guy claims people have been spotting snipers around Coventry in Ottawa and that riot cops are planning on striking within the next 1-2 days.

99.9% likely to be horseshit, but the snipers around Parliament Hill rumor isn't new. I caught a Snapchat 2 nights ago claiming to have spotted a sniper on a roof. It was taken at night on a tater and wasn't backed up by anything I could find anywhere else so I tossed it. There was definitely someone on a roof, but there wasn't a single frame where more than a 6 black pixel blur was visible. Video seems to be gone off Snapmap now.
of course there are snipers around parliament. this is an active insurrection in a capital city. why would there not be snipers.

Really bringing back the elementary school memories where we all had to stand up from our seats by the time this started playing on the PA. Thanks, yo

Probably the more important point is that jamming phones or cutting internet connections also effects the soy classes that dwell within Ottawa. Two days without being able to use Discord or jack off will have them standing right next to the truckers baying for blood.

It's possible they would freeze pretty easily. That happened to other people who had worked at the same place my mom did. I would hope no company is dumb enough to be shipping out reptiles or amphibians right now.

Is there anything genuine about this or is he just trying to feel out the waters for his party? (tweet)

Probably both. I refuse to believe the Liberals are a monolithic block that always share the same thoughts, viewpoints, etc. If the Democrats and Labour has their internal factions, then it stands to reason that the Liberals will, and this Lightbound is probably acting as a face/representative for their moderate faction much like how Sinema and Manchin currently is for the moderate Dems.
Pretty much this. For all the professed unity and top down control Canadian political parties are not monolithic. If a backbench MP is publicly speaking out against the party line, particularly in the Liberal case, it very much is a feeler to see what the public response is. This would also be in line with comments last week about needing to adjust overall Covid response: the Libs are looking for an off ramp, they just want it to be on their terms since letting the truckers win doesn't buy the Libs votes.

Also why are you protesting? Won't you please stop that, think of grandma, and get vaxxed already? Please? Pretty please? Maybe? :story:

While I'm not aware of the cross border amphibian trade I don't think anyone has to worry too much about it.
