Let me drop some quick facts about this guy, because he's not a nobody. He was important enough that he had his own Wikipedia article (it was deleted last week for some reason...)

David Zegarac is a well-known scumbag and shit stain on Winnipeg's punk music scene, and was also the frontman for a band named The Brat Attack in the past. He was ostracized from the scene back in the mid-2010s due to a litany of sexual assault and abuse claims, he also hung out in leftist circles (i.e. Antifa) but they didn't like him and kicked him out of those too. Younger people don't know his name and the older ones who do despise him.

I am not surprised at all that the Amish are not into this. This mRNA jab bullshit is too bleeding edge tech-wise even for me to consider having it injected into my body, so I imagine someone driving round in a horse and carriage, because they think a car is too cutting edge and non-trad, would probably feel the same. Additionally, a good bit of their general ethos as well as aesthetic are related to non-compliance. For example, the weird chinstrap beard for which they are known stems from a period in which they refused to join the military (conscientious objectors for religious reasons), and they lived in a time when military men were known for their moustaches, like so:

I work in education, and between me and my contacts I'm very sure that Kenney has never notified a single school board about changes ahead of time. Changing to at-home learning, cancelling exams, extending breaks, all had 1-3 day lead time and we found out from the 6 PM news. Usually it's a Friday announcement to be in effect Monday.

And while I'm powerlevelling:

My spouse and I have also had friends message us anti covid/right wing articles and videos. If you watch enough on YouTube or open enough articles, the algorithm will start pushing that content. It happens fast which is why algorithms can be dangerous. We cut those friends off. I recommend reading the book Cultish: the language of fanaticism by Amanda Montell. This movement ticks every box of a cult.
