The big one was it was all made up to make Trump look bad, that one was common early on and is still common. The Wuhan Lab theory is less nutty, but usually it gets tied to an intentional release (unlikely) or it’s a bioweapon (insanely unlikely) - my money is on either a researcher at the lab getting infected by a natural virus while collecting samples, or the various wildlife farms in southern China being the incubator, and someone taking product to the Wuhan market getting infected along the way.

Vaccine conspiracies run the width and length of the Nile. There’s the one that it contains small micro creatures, that it contains microchips, that it’ll kill us all, that it’s a sterilization agent, that it’s a mind control device, that it doesn’t work and it’s a test for compliance, and so on.

The evolution of the conspiracies has lead them to go from specific, falsifiable, direct claims into a miasma of grifters shrugging and wiggling their eyebrows and saying they "have some questions" that reaches the most paranoid and niggerbrained of the population and convinces them "something is not right with these vaccines!"

One example of my claim is Peter Doshi, a member of the British Medical Journal (BMJ) who wrote an opinion article on the trustworthiness of said vaccines. In it, his goal is not to make any strong stance, but rather to repeatedly misunderstand and misinterpret the double blind studies while claiming "more information is needed", and postulating the studies may have maliciously axed the data of 3,400~ "possibly infected people, many or most were false negatives" despite that being an absurdly high level of inaccuracy for PCR tests, our best measurement of infections.

An issue of this, is many people see Dr Shitskin's vague allusions to a greater conspiracy and consider that to be hard nosed research that questions "The Science", when in reality

The nominal false negative rate for the PCR test mentioned in the Pfizer protocol is 2% (see table 3 of FDA report for this PCR test), which would suggest that 3/3410 of these suspected cases were in fact false negative COVID-19 cases, and the updated efficacy would be (174-10)/174 x 100 =93.9% if we pessimistically assumed the vaccine efficacy was 0% for all false negative cases. Even if we assumed the FNR was 10x higher than reported, say 20%, this would mean we expected 43/3410 of these suspected cases to in fact be false negative COVID-19 cases, which would correspond to an updated efficacy of (183-29)/183 x 100 =84.2% if were pessimistically assumed the vaccine efficacy was 0% for all false negative cases. Even assuming a high 20% FNR, this would only result in ~1% of the 3410 being false negatives, obviously far short of "many or most".

That's my answer. The antivax mania is no longer as interested in Dale Gribble level statements, which actually take some level of bravery to spew. They have moved onto passive allegations that to the layman may seem reasonable and worth looking into, but in reality are just extremely gay attempts to create an artificial "conversation".

The more prominent ones right now are probably that ((((((((they)))))))) intentionally unleashed the virus onto the world in order to somehow make money / promulgate the great leap forward into bug-eating tube-topia, but I'd say that the general bulk of the content is just uninformed takes on social media from people who can't parse statistics, are unfamiliar with how vaccines are created / function, who don't understand how infectious diseases function, etc etc.

It definitely was a little more lively when the vaccines were newer and there was less information about their design, implementation, efficacy so on.

There still haven’t been enough evidence for for a serious investigation. Most of the “lab” arguments don’t have enough backbone to them. “China has a bio lab”, every country has a bio labs. Unless there is concrete evidence that points to the lab, then it’s just a conspiracy theory. Every argument I see for the lab goes back to the lab existence but no evidence showing that it came from it.
