Gonna hard disagree on that one.
We've seen, over and over, exactly what happens to people who are either brave (or stupid, at this point) enough to try to hold Quinn publicly accountable for her actions: they all get swarmed by her idiot supporters, lied about nonstop by Quinn herself, branded as Evil Alt-Right Gamergaters, and then... nothing actually happens. How many people is it, now? There was that photographer she scammed and slandered back in her softcore porn days, the guy she sexually harassed/assaulted at a wedding, those troons she scammed and lied to and used as slave labor, Eron, several other ex boyfriends, multiple women whose boyfriends or husbands she slept with, Alec, the list goes on.
Not to mention that being publicly connected to Zoe Quinn in any capacity as friend or foe is a one-way ticket to becoming a person of interest to the Farms and having all of your info dug up and permanently featured here. It also has the same stigma that coming forward as a Weinstein victim has: for the rest of your life, from now on, everyone knows you're the woman whose boyfriend or husband cheated on you with indie gaming's fat STD-riddled village bicycle. How embarrassing. Guaranteed there are countless other women and men we've never heard of that she's fucked over in some capacity who looked at her trail of destruction, did the math, realized she wasn't worth it, and simply cut their losses and moved on with their lives.
@Secret Asshole summed it up perfectly a couple hundred pages back in what is
probably the single best post in this entire thread:
when it comes to sociopaths, the only way to win is to not play.
You'll never win a real battle with them, because they'll stoop to depths you'll never even consider possible, lie about literally everything and go to insane lengths to avenge any perceived slights. She's doing a fine job destroying her own life and public reputation just by being herself. It will take a while for her to fully age out to the point that she becomes truly desperate, but by then, the people who chose to cut her off rather than engage will have rebuilt their lives and happily moved on. Being Zoe Quinn is its own life sentence.
