That's most likely the root of the hysterics and fear of Trump that's rational. He's the wrong guy for all the ire but they are genuinely afraid of a populist getting the masses behind themselves because that can get violent very quick.

Among the many problems with the technocratic left's worldview is that it's as complex as the pop culture they consume. Every "bad guy" in history is a comic book villain, an embodiment of pure evil ("evil" meaning simply in opposition, not an intrinsic moral attribute, since these types are all secularized and thus either moral relativists, utilitarians, or just flat out amoral), who takes power for no reason at all. They fail to understand the social and cultural conditions that brought about all the historical "bad guys", much less that it's just as possible for them to be taken in thrall by an "evil" force.

This is probably why I'm seeing more and more articles about how covid-19 increases the risk of stillbirth and neonatal death and that expecting mothers should get the "safe and effective" jab because doing so can give the newborn antibodies to help prevent covid. According to the article, I express my doubts.

I grew up hearing everyone from Tea Partiers to DINOs to leftoids joke about how retarded Joe Biden was, but now we're all supposed to suddenly pretend like he's Einstein or Galileo or some other genius.

Kind of like how everyone decided to forget what we all knew about flu shots the second coof jabs came out.

Peterson isn't good at politics, no, but I wouldn't really count him as an IDW type, even if he gets lumped in with them. He doesn't really do the tone policing that the Bari Weiss and Murray types are doing either. As others have mentioned, I don't think he's approaching CRT from a political perspective.

I think what's really going on is that with the Neo-cons collapsing and their ability to gatekeep slipping there's a opening to try and lead the party base and the center-left and paleocons are butting heads over it. The paleos have been written out of power since the 60s, but they're closer to what the base believes and, more importantly, willing to gatekeep the left.
