While it's true that they're just playing characters and people shouldn't get so invested, at the same time even I would feel pissed off if it came out that say, the ones who claim to have been poor in the past to the point of being homeless or eating paper/grass because they were so hungry were actually just making that up to manipulate people into donations or if Watame's dad was actually present and supporting her. There's definitely some lines that shouldn't be crossed when it comes to bullshitting fans and drawing the line between their real selves and the character

You know why I don't buy the rrat that the pink rabbit is constantly just on the verge of being retired?

Because her channel just posted a stream clip where she shits all over the western games industry (potential sponsors) for four minutes, and the terms "penis slider," "horse balls," and "fuck" are prominently featured. This just doesn't match the narrative that she's being kept on a short leash. Flamenco in particular seems like he can't help but saying "oh, she's been in a lot of trouble recently" whenever Pips comes up on his stream. No, I don't think she has.

Maybe it's fun to think that the fish is constantly bonking her, but I'm pretty sure at this point that PC has found the value in just letting the rabbit do her own thing and pander to the niche she's developed around her.

not to be full theorycel here but I remember someone talking about this on /a/ before. Supposedly, women cannnot sexually pleasure themselves as easily as men (ie: masturbating). Thus they'd get more attached to the idol they look upon and consume as much merchandise from them as possible in an attempt to gratify themselves or "scratching that itch" kind of thing

He got a good point in what is going to happen now, the options i have in mind are

  1. Lame ass corpo bullshit about with a apology from Rushia with "we are only friends in discord" or some shit like that, this is the most normal and probably the less bad of the options and what you are probably going to get
  2. Pin the blame in the twink because he is not protected by a corpo
  3. Cover is going to do something stupid like suspending her and praying that the flames go away, doomposting get so annoying that the thread gets unreadable for days

Please dont be 3, doomposting of this magnitude is only allowed in august

'Mafumafu-san' (Trending with 'Uruha Rushia' and 'Virtual pigs'), 'Rushia and Mafumafu', and 'Engagement Ring' currently make up 3 of the Top 5 trending in Japan.

A lot of it is laughing at Gachikoi which, as funny as it is, is likely to result in said Gachikoi throwing a shitfit.

Japan is not unlike China in that the general public expect an IMMEDIATE response to these things, and the option of 'Lie to them by saying it's a misunderstanding and they aren't actually together' is off the table because they already used that in 2018. So their only REAL option now, without disrespecting the intelligence of their fans, it to admit that they're dating.

Alternatively, Cover COULD risk burning some good faith to pretend it doesn't exist and see if it blows over with little repercussion, which I think is what they're gonna roll with.

Rushia is too big to brush under the carpet, and pinning it on the twink could create bad blood among the fujos and probably other utaite.

I don't see how that would be burning good faith. It's the best option in my opinion. Let the tempest in a teakettle just blow over; any statement they make is likely to just make the mad people madder anyway. Maybe Rushia loses a whale or two; she's got enough minnows to still live a good life.

not to mention that Rushia does have a significant amount of fujos in her fanbase. This trashfire is a lose-lose situation on all parties.
