We both know this happens anyway, and there absolutely are those who'd be willing to shoot their countrymen. You can preach regulation all day long but in the age of mass instant communication, that shit is moot.

There was a previous poster who said it better than I will here about 400 pages back. Something like 90% of our standing soldiers come from the shit hole middle of our country. Good old boys, simple folk. I do not mean this in a derogatory sense. If you try and hand them an order to use any kind of force on a peaceful protest of truckers that are mostly from there neck of the woods, you now have the largest scale mutiny you've ever seen on your hands. These fuckers don't join up because they're patriots, they just need work and a way out of there small town. We aren't trigger happy Americans up here. When I said 100% guarantee I fucking meant it.

Places like google are stripping down code they already had because they value diversity over ability now. The checkboxes they hire can't understand, expand on or even maintain the code they inherit so it has to get stripped out. Meanwhile, most of the actually talented developers (of all races and both genders) leave because nobody wants to babysit a bunch of oversensitive children who can't do anything while also having to do all the work.

I would hope you're right but I've been around too many soldiers and police in my life to believe that. There's always somebody who is willing to step on someone else just for the sake of it, regardless of whether they're a cornfed good ol' country boy or not.

I'm not saying that I doubt some would mutiny but I do think more than you realize wouldn't. Granted, I'm looking through the lens of the US military and the utter ratfuck shit dicks that it's composed of, but you're right next door...
