TBH I'm really surprised to see how heavy handed the French police are on the protestors. I guess I don't pay enough attention to French politics bc I didn't know they were bad, I would have assumed that American cops were worse and would be the first country to break out the riot gear and seriously injure a protestor.

Only one confirmed arrest so far, if they're trying to pick off people they're doing a piss poor job of it right now. Also good to note is that the bridge is still shut down, seems the protest has simply moved up the street. And also gotten bigger

Here's a little more info on what happened in Windsor and why the protestors moved some -- there was a negotiation with the cops and they agreed to open up a path for ambulances and other emergency vehicles to get through. Found a clip of the negotiation. Cop makes a point of stating that the protestors are peaceful and are doing a great job keeping things clean and nice, and that he supports them exercising their right to speech.

Still wish I could find status updates on where the couch and the goose have gone. <3

Also found a clip of a heartwarming encounter between a carload of protestors and an OPP cop. They invite him to come along and the guy beams like a kid on Christmas.
