I don't use Apple because I am not a savage, but I looked it up and apparently Apple has changed several of their devices over to USB-C, at least temporarily. They're phasing out the Lightning cable design, possibly replacing it with a new, proprietary (as usual...) wireless charger. Here's an advert/article about Apple getting shafted by their precious EU frens.

There's at least one homeless shelter in Lou's hometown, and as luck would have it, it's barely a block away from his beloved local library. Homeless shelters often turn people out during the day, but with the library so close, he'll be covered 24/7.

I could be wrong, but Lou's brother is in jail, right? Assuming that's the case, I'm thinking Denise is looking for a bigger place to accommodate him when he gets out; a better plan would be to just kick Lou out and let the brother take Lou's old room. There's nothing functionally proprietary, no. But it's APPLE PRODUCT, which means MORE EXPENSIVE, which means MORE CONSOOMER POINTS for Lou.

Today's need is Office again. He knows there are free alternatives but still wants to get another monthly bill so he can have Office for...well, who knows. He could always use office.com (which is free and more than enough for his needs as long as he is connected to the Internet ) for the probably once every few months that he rewrites his "genie turns fat man into big tiddy tiger" story, but then he wouldn't get a dopamine hit from spending money, so fuck that I guess.
