These DDOS attacks have been brutal considering I've been keeping up with a lot of the news through here. I expected to see the Ambassador Bridge be broken early Saturday.
The Windsor thing has been a huge whitepill for me, personally.
After the Injunction on Friday, the 11th, the protesters held the line all night. When the cops started moving in on the 12th, hundreds of people showed up in solidarity and delayed the opening another full day. It took until today to clear the protesters (and most leaving willingly) for the road to be cleared....then the cops needed to clean up all of their cement barriers and actually reopen the road. All the legacy media that showed up on Saturday wanting that great government victory over those racist Confederate Nazi Russian American truckers? They got utterly embarrassed. Ford probably promised all of those vested interests that the bridge would be open in 24 hours, and it likely won't be open until late tonight.
In turn? Two border crossings in BC are blocked by people making some parking violations. Cornwall was blocked with parking violations. A protest movement drove into Halifax. Veterans removed that idiotic fencing from the War Memorial.
In the grand scheme of things, Windsor held for a week - six days longer than anybody who protested expected, and two days longer than the SUPER DUPER EMERGENCY INJUNCTION.
And here's the biggest thing.....are they going to leave dozens of cops along Huron Church forever? It won't take much for a few hundred people to just show back up whenever they want to to fuck with the bridge again. Even if they leave a large contingent of cops in Windsor to keep the bridge, that's a lot of police officers not going to Toronto, or Sarnia, or Ottawa, or Cornwall, or Sault Ste Marie.
The Honkening continues!
