People very close to him turned against him. He yells about not being a narcissist and the devil, even though he clearly is a narcissist. Someone supposedly screamed at Max's friend, making the friend cry. He then moans about the article taking him down, saying the title isn't even accurate to its contents. Landis yells about that screaming being abuse. Then, he rants about always being hated, and treating women in ways he'll regret for the rest of his life...but doesn't specify what exactly he did. Typical manipulation tactic.
He then moans about this being "a social shaming," how this isn't right, and everyone online acts like this is normal. Which isn't true, even kiwifarms doesn't condone A-logging, but of course, a pesky detail like that doesn't mix well with Max trying to portray himself as a victim. He keeps going, admitting to being a "tiny bit stoned" and says he can't have his friends crying. He asks for people to acknowledge he's a human being, and bitches about cancel culture. Literally says the bad part is that he's allowed to be endlessly hated.
We're supposed to be shocked at the revelation that one of his friends posted a Twilight Zone meme about him
He then brings up some of his "controversial" takes, as if that has anything to do with the hate he gets. The takes are Rey being a mary sue, Rotten Tomatoes is fucked, and American Ultra is good. Max, no one fucking cares about that now.
Landis mentions an interview from 12 years ago where he was drunk and admitted to giving someone an eating disorder. I don't really get why he brought this up, but he autistically picks apart the interview. Like, yes, we know you can't "give" someone an eating disorder, and yes, you were drunk with a friend. He clings to the "people hate me because John Landis is my dad" narrative. It's not the first time he has done this. Anyone in their right mind knows that you're not responsible for your dad's actions, so stop with this shit, Max.
Next, he says his family is crying, and here's his big manipulation tactic: According to Max, if you like the shaming he's dealing with, you are now cosigning everything that's happening to him and his friends. Even though that's fucking stupid.
"It sounds like a story because I'm good at telling stories" - no, you're not, Max. You're an annoying faggot who still talks like a teenager and that's why it's hard to believe you.
Finally, he goes into what it was like being in the mental hospital. Max was initially in the "nice part" of that, whatever that means. He was publicly shamed by another patient who googled him. This allegedly led to the other patients saying they don't feel comfortable being with Max, so he got moved to the "normal part" of the mental hospital. He was interviewed there by a therapist and admitted to being suicidal.
Well, Max, if you admitted to being suicidal, you can't really complain about getting sent to a locked ward. Your own story is fucking retarded. He figured he'd be in a mental hospital for the rest of his life, which goes to show what little he knows about places like that. Even actually homeless schizos don't stay there that long. You'd have to be proven to be a danger to society in order to be stuck permanently in a mental hospital. As annoying as Max is, I doubt he fits that description.
Wrapping things up, he humble brags about never making an effort to be famous. Max brings up that there are many directors' kids that don't end up being pseudo-famous or "lolcows" - something that's weird to him because he's "a real person." He then realizes that lolcows are real people and names Chris Chan.
Ultimately, he wants this shaming and abuse to end. Maybe call the cops, Max, this sounds like something they'd take care of, if you're telling the truth. I doubt it, this all seems like you're too eager to make yourself into a victim.
