Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

Those kids deserved their time on the bouncy castle.
Yeah typically I 100% agree, keep the kids out of it but 1. It's important to know that their medical freedom is maybe the ultimate driver here and 2. it's essentially a county fair up there. Overall safety in the area is better than its ever been and those kids are probably having a riot. Getting truckers to honk their horn is one of the top 5 things kids like to do. Add some bouncy castles and those little fuckers are having the time of their young lives.

I don't necessarily have anything against them being there. I just think it's tacky seeing children being used as tools to advance their parents' political stances with the signs.

yes, well, we know where holding ourselves to higher standards got us. I'm sure if we continue being the better men, we will come out on top.

it will always be a rules for thee but not for me conclusion.
The point is not to get the other side to stop because you don't do it in some kind of political ceasefire.

The point is to not do it because not doing is good for your children and doing it is bad for your children. It is a good in and of itself.

How are you this unfathomably autistic?

Do you know what board we're on?

If the adults in question are taking the kids out just to hold a sign for hours on end, then yes that's bad. but that's not what they are doing, is it? this looks like family outings, with bbq, bouncy castle, and cul-de-sac mingling included. You were disapproving of the children becoming involved. I think it's silly. why do you care in this instance?

Hearing some grapevine stuff:

There's a vote on the Mandates today, and nobody's convinced Trudeau has the votes to carry shit.

The Liberals have tanked to 16%. Conservatives can smell blood and might try and push for a VoNC. If that passes, then Trudy is out and fresh elections are called.

if nothing else, I think a lot of people have discovered through these protests that they aren't nearly as alone as the government wants them to think they are. seeing the turnout, this will embolden others to action. here's hoping. Lord knows the events that have transpired over the past week have fed me more whitepills than i'm used to.

Feel free to add suggestions, as always.
I think there have been events every weekend in all the Maritime provincial capitals of Charlottetown, PEI, Fredericton, NB, and Halifax, NS.
On cursory examination, I cannot find a more recent protest in Newfoundland, but they did hold this event in St. John's, NL, on Jan 29th in early support of the Freedom Convoy.

is not some underhanded-but-effective realpolitik strategy that's going to win the day.
There's a PR war going on, and the presence of families and kids wins hearts and minds, especially among female observers. Think of the PR that Charlottesville got being mostly populated by fighting age incels, versus the Freedom Convoy family event with bouncy castles; sure, they tried some baseless smears, but nothing sticks and they almost seem to be giving up. Not only is it better optics in that respect, but it's also horrendous optics for the police to be gassing or shooting women/children, whereas no one gives a fuck about fighting-age men getting gassed or shot. The presence of children could be one of the major factors, if not the single biggest factor, for why the government is so frozen in the face of what's going on in Ottawa. For another example aside from Charlottesville, just look at how fucked the current Paris freedom convoy protests are, and look at the age/sex demography of who is at those events.

One need only look to how obsessed the Freedom Convoy's opposition is with the presence of kids to see how effective they seem to be as a tactic. Threats to call in Child Protective Services, Trudeau singling out parents with something like "If you are protesting in Ottawa with children, it is time for you to go home," twitter lefties bitching about "human shields" like the peaceful protest is a warzone (they wish it could be), etc.

I'm so sick of this world. Endless masks and lockdowns. Just watch, Ford's going to rescind this shit March 31, until the next "wave" hits. They've conditioned the public with a Pavlovian response, every time the word "cases" is uttered the drooling masses submit. That being said, it's great to see that there are so many against this shit, but do we know the percentage breakdown? Is it enough to really turn things around?

This goes beyond the truckers. Their effort has been and continues to be valiant and admirable. It's been effective, too; though the politicians would never admit to that. What I'm getting at, is that until the head of this snake is cut, we'll be in this perpetual quasi-dystopian state.

The masses really need to wake up. This is going to get a lot uglier before it gets better. This is a war, and whilst it's nice to see battles being won, here and there, this globohomo death cult won't be going away any time soon.

We need re-imagine our political/economic systems and do our own "great reset"; by the people and for the people. Maybe in my lifetime I will see such a paradigm shift.
