Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

Right now New Brunswick is at level 2. We're set to go to level 1 on the 18th. We've still got vax pass bullshit, limits on "gatherings" with no sign of them ending any time soon. I don't believe that Higgs won't just bring them back when the next vARiaNt comes out.
Feels like you East Coast cucks had it rough with how obsessive the provinces were with locking down and trying to go the Australia/NZ ZERO COVID route.

Bottom-line is that yes, it'd be sweet if they finally wised up and just killed the Papers Please shit entirely but nothing is stopping them from whipping it out again when the twitter doctors and unelected public health "ExPeRtS" go clout-chasing again, beyond risking the public actually getting pissed off for realsies.

I'm convinced the only reason that masks mandates are staying despite state after state and country after country dropping them is because they're the most obvious form of adherence to the cult of covid for the true believers and telling the public you aren't forced to wear them anymore (because they don't work and never worked) would be like telling your kid Santa isn't real after hyping him up for a couple years.

They really think it's a revolutionary act, even when their favorite TV show puts it right in front of their eyes.

One of the things I'd like to highlight for everyone talking about how X or Y tactic wouldn't work the same way at X or Y location - It doesn't have to.

Is it exceedingly difficult to truck your way into cutting off the US road system? Absolutely. Do you need to cut all of it off? No. Just because the chokepoints aren't absolute like border crossings, doesn't mean they won't hurt. Cities feel the impact of just regular old car accidents on major arteries all the time, because even if there's dozens of alternative routes, none of them have the capacity. Every artery thats clogged up, no matter how short the blockage lasts, has an impact. It may be impractical to cut off DC, but it'd only take a few dozen truckers to make getting in and out of the city awful, even if its viable.

Don't let perfection be the enemy of good. Don't get so engrossed with trying to win something in a single, decisive strike that you refuse to bleed your enemy from a dozen cuts in a drawn out period instead.

Just like the Reddit faggots in Alberta who were saying "I'm going to keep wearing a mask even though the mandates are going away".

No group of people has ever been more supported simultaneously by government, corporate interests, culture, and media and still acted like they're plucky rebels fighting the power.

I've always been on the side of the truckers, but last night and today, I've been getting kind of worried about this Emergency Act thing since you guys were dooming so hard. I'll get down to the bottom of this and share my thoughts soon...
Post-party hangover. It's funny that this has become a cycle now. The weekly doom cycle. The nighttime fedposting cycle.

The Canadian head dipshit is trying to act tough. Big whoop.

Why do some think this couldn't be pulled off in America? I'm thinking of certain bridges and roads in places like Memphis that could easily be blocked by very few trucks. Just think if access to the world's busiest airport was blocked, even for a day?

The government can't stop this from happening, since there's no way to know which truckers are going to protest and which aren't. That's why you're seeing the media change their tune about mandates, they see which way the wind is blowing and they absolutely do not want American truckers to copy Canada.

The only real issue I see with Americans trying this is dealing with unhinged counter protestors. People here could get really violent compared to the counter protestors in Canada.
I'm reminded of when the Hernando de Soto Bridge was closed for repairs May 2021. It was completely awful, especially since Memphis is the transport hub for the entire MidSouth. However, it would be extremely hard to keep everyone in the blockade safe, as it could easily turn into Reginald Denny. It wouldn't be able to have good optics, as to deter anyone wanting to Reginald Denny others they'd have to have shows of force, which would in turn give pretense to LEO to crack down. So no kids, no fun grilling, no fun bouncy houses.

QFT.

Cuckteau can invoke his emergency powers, now let him enforce it. No amount of government paper will move multiple thousands of tons of truck. They could drag every driver to a gulag and this changes their situation not at all.

"But, but freedom is DivIsIVe!"

This time, with the “freedom convoy,” protesters are turning the language of freedom against their own governments. The implications, and repercussions of this, are enormous and go beyond the immediate question of how to resolve the various occupations and protests.
Governments know all too well — for it is a strategy they have used themselves — that the language of freedom is a powerful ideological tool, and a divisive one.

It's the definition of the phrase "Some people are born on third base and go through life thinking they hit a triple"

Don't forget that Trudeau is literally shidding and farding in a bunker for the last two weeks because his top tier operators and members of his personal sniper team defected and joined with the opposition. He does not have the support of the army or the people, he's literally a few days away from Ceaușescu's balcony moment.

Won't that literally be giving them nothing to lose?
B-but they're supposed to listen to us, we went to college!
Here's a retarded idea how to motivate leafgovt to listen.

Perform Darude - Sandstorm with horm.
The truckers played nice not honking last week, and the government responded by declaring them enemies of the state. Might as well remind them that they will not be silenced.

No amount of government paper will force truckers to deliver to cities either.

Every time I've ever driven in Memphis, it's been chaotic. People drive like they're playing GTA. Road rage in Memphis is a very real thing. I could definitely see angry drivers getting out and shooting the protestors out of sheer rage. They would be of more concern than the police would be.

One of the reasons I think Higgs went ham with the mandates is because a good chunk of NB's population is over 65 and as of 2015 over 33% of the province was obese, and something like 60% of NBers have some sort of chronic illness. Along with so many people being old, sick and fat our hospitals have been full of seniors waiting for placement in nursing homes. There's nothing overly wrong with them besides them not being able to ''look after themselves''. So a hospital with say 200 beds has anywhere from 100 beds to 120 beds being used by old people just waiting for someone at a retirement home to croak so they can get a spot. The healthcare system here has been a gong show for as long as I can remember.

I'm no expert on Canadia laws, but I've seen talk that these emergency powers allow him to do some pretty crazy shit including taking the towing machinery needed to move the trucks from the businesses who have refused to do so.
