It's way harder to automate something that has hardware which interfaces with the real world and that has to account for a dynamic environment, take input from sensors, etc. Now compare that to automating tasks done entirely on the computer, where all actions can be performed by software and there's no nasty analog real world to account for. I've played around with both types of automation and one is much easier to implement than the other.

Mmm yes, the literal only difference between these two countries which would contribute to a difference in mortality is exclusively vaccine mandates and NOTHING ELSE.
