So DOA: Xtreme 3 will not be seeing a US release because of cultural differences(sjws).

The play-asia twitter tweeted this in response.

I recommend reading all the responses because many people were buttmad about that tweet.
Like this one.

Even Sarah Nyberg of 2809 Union St, Madison WI had to get his shots in.

Kinda makes me wonder whether KT's statement was a publicity stunt of sort. I mean, how many people would have supported the game if it had been released overseas? DOA is already known more for the jiggle physics than for its combat, and DOAX just takes the whole thing even further - one-handed gameplay, anyone?

However, I still find it very amusing how people vow to never use Playasia again because they used a word they don't like.

That sort of thing is an immaturity. Sure some of us may of refused to use a service again but there would be a much better reason such as the price of something being way out of range compared to quality or because of bad (repeat if it was used more than once) experience with a worker of that service. Saying you don't want to buy from someone because they used some three letter word is pretty pathetic and in all honesty, this move PlayAsia makes is a good one for them since that could mean getting more profit from selling a game that people want despite the creators or publishers not wanting to release in a region due to some sort of backlash.

"STOP SLUT SHAMING WOMEN!"
"HOW DARE YOU APPRECIATE WOMEN!"

This kind of crazed bullshit can actually be useful, though. I don't know if Play-Asia did this on purpose. It actually looks like it might just be an Asian company exasperated with American lunacy that just flipped its shit in frustration.

But shit like this, combined with "look at these fuckin people who don't want you to have this game" is probably a good advertising hook. Sort of like nothing sells movie tickets like a bunch of crazy-eyed foaming Christians saying it's Satanic.

Not unlikely! the sales of the last game were really low, less than 0.25 million globally, with exceedingly low sales in the West. (which is a given, since it apparently sucked and the only reason it sold any copies at all was because sad basement dwellers want to ogle virtual titties.) The original decision not to release the game here was almost certainly primarily due to them knowing that they wouldn't be able to make a profit shipping the game worldwide. By turning it into a controversy object, they might actually make some money off of it.

Pretty much, people are buying the SJW angle hook line and sinker when the truth is Western publishers wanted nothing to do with it because nobody ever fucking bought it.

I'm not sure where this "sold exceeding low in the west" crap is coming from.

Look into the population of Japan vs that in North America. (that is ALL of North America, not just the US). Actually, I'll do it for you. Japan's population is 127ish million. North America's is 528 million. Relatively speaking, it didn't sell well in North America.
