Jesus in psychology just getting ethical approval is a pain let alone submitting for publication. And it isn't the jargon, if anything you have to be as clear as possible so people actually understand what you're putting down

I would say that it barely looks like the dye stuck at all, but kids these days and the ombres that they go for, I don't even know. It looks like shit though

ETA: Her sheer stupidity infuriates me.

1) Her teacher "gave her 100% on her paper" (which, it's a grad school course, so it very likely was essentially pass-fail) and then her discussion section gets ripped apart at a conference (LOL), but instead of contemplating the flaws in her likely nonsensical argument, she just brushes it off as "never have to see those people again" and not "maybe I should refine my argument"

2) You can see her stupidity in that she genuinely thinks that people think that someone is smart if they use big words, which most people get over 2 seconds into their undergraduate degree and can properly determine who is bullshitting and who is not.

3) That absolute delusion you must have to enter a classroom setting where you are the student and think "well, looks like I have to educate these people because they don't have the same opinion as me" is honestly mind boggling

She's going to be in for a rude awakening when she gets out into the real world and discovers that unless the place you're working for is woke as fuck, nobody cares what your personal issues are and they're only concerned with the job you do.

Question is, what good is "gender studies" outside of an academic institution?

Seriously, this helps the theory that all she does is to make her parents give her the kind of attention she specifically wants.

We still don't know why. Maybe Nat didn't want her dad to pay more attention to his patients, hence she became the patient, except he knew she was a munchie.

I know a girl who is “bi” and sucks gay culture up with a straw while very much in a monogamous heterosexual relationship. I always wondered why the need for performative gayness but finally realized it’s because her sister is actually a lesbian who dates and sleeps with women, and she has some kind of FOMO and needs to be the special one too. Without it she would be rather bland and despite that being who she really is, she has to splash rainbows all over everything and constantly self reference as “hella gay” while holding hands with her penis-haver. I believe she’s now playing around with “not always feeling like a girl” despite being utterly unable to define what that means or act like anything but a girly femme.

I wonder, will Natalie ever figure out that none of this navel gazing and self identification and fads will ever, ever make her interesting or important?
