General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

So which one would cause the most drama if the terminally online found out that the vtuber is in a relationship in real life? People got to be deluded to think a bunch of charismatic women are all single virgins

Haachama ate spicy ramen again. No puking this time as well.
The funniest thing that the edit loses (a lot of) is Chama's comic timing w/ starting and stopping the dramatic music, moving so her model stops tracking, etc. Her instinctively brilliant/retarded "live editing" is what distinguishes her from other crazytubers.

My brain-damaged cartoon daughter-wife is an artist!

/vt/ were rrating that the surgery was either tit reduction or gender reassignment. Pretty funny to see them BTFO again!
Or hymen restoration (it’s a thing) in order to fully commit to the pure Chuuba idol status quote unlike a certain green hair necromancer.

We speculate that at least Calli is a single virgin cuz the rrat about her travel to Japan to sleep with some dude only for him to turn her down is comically enough, now she just need a bunch of cats to complete the set.

On a more disappointing note Laran Bonnie seems to have been doomed to being an eternal pre-debut Vtweeter. If her name sounds familiar she is a frequent commenter in Pippa's chat. I was kind of holding out hope that she would eventually debut, as her power level seems to be comparable to Pippa's but it now seems that this will not be the case, at least not for a very long time. She was planning on buying a computer and using the money she would make through streaming to pay for it retroactively. Unfortunately she got scammed and the computer she bought is not even capable of recording gameplay let alone streaming. Not sure what she is planning on doing from here, I just wanted to share this info in case anyone else here was curious about her.

I'm dogshit with names so it doesn't really ring a bell but that said that kinda sucks. She does sound like she lives in some 3rd world Slavic shithole can't she just report the people who scammed her?

Those Haachama noodles dont look too spicy. She needs to go for the black ones Pippa ate. Those will make you shit blood.

Remember someone mentioning spanish speaking Vtubers, this one came up. Debutted 3 weeks ago and has around 27k subs (which is huge for an indie). Speaks a bucketload of languages and she claims to be Japanese. Guessing either hafu or daughter of parents who migrated to some South American shithole because her spanish+accent seems pretty much native.

Normally I like Tom's stuff, but the research on this one was totally lazy. It's his second channel I guess, but any decent amount of research would show him that this is less 'vTuber culture' and more "Japanese Idol Culture", which happens to overlap quite a bit. You see significantly less of this behavior on the non-JP side of things.
In fairness this is his lazy channel. So I don't think he did any research other than the articles he mentioned and a few tweets. It is after all gameplay commentary.

I think Gura has COVID brain. I join the stream and the first thing I hear is Watashi wa barf. Then she started to use her shake weight. This was about an hour into the live stream.

Yeah she still sounded a bit rough but tbf VR games fuck with her sense of vertigo anyway, and it's hard to tell what meds she's on. Shork was probably at least partially trying to play it off by acting loopy to cover the fact that she felt like hurling. I'm glad she's back though, hopefully she feels back to her normal self soon.

She's had problems every time she has done VR basically. She couldn't even make it through the christmas VR full EN collab stream and had to take a break and step away for a while if I remember correctly. Some people just can't handle VR, it messes with them too much. She keeps trying and hoping she'll acclimate, but doesn't seem to be happening.

Ironmouse has become the alltime highest subscribed woman on twitch, pretty cool

I didn't think 1M subs was a big deal because I'm thinking about it in YT terms. But twitch subs = YT membership right? So she has 1M members basically? At $5 each for base membership, does that mean she is getting $5M a month?! (before twitch's and whoever else's cut anyway)

What impresses me about ironmouse is that she's so successful without using her condition. I was aware of her through clips and collabs for months before having any idea she was bed ridden.

She doesn't use it as a pity point on stream really or try to play it up, but I wouldn't say that it hasn't helped her gain eyeballs. I think I first heard of her when YT recommended a video detailing her bubble girl condition and then she also skyrocketed when the conner teetee blew up. Not that it is bad, any growth is partially skill, luck, and playing up to your audience, so good on her. I'm sure her condition can't be cheap and now she should be able to afford really good care at least.

No way to know anymore. Nobody working at YouTube has anything useful to do, so they're just wrecking shit. Rather than merely count identifiable viewers, live stream numbers now are calculated based on the quality of a sample of the viewers. This especially fucks up vtuber numbers, presumably because vtuber watchers "act like bots" (mass subscribing to new accounts, chatting for sometimes days before a premier goes live, repeating comments, etc.). YouTube did this in a way that maybe they don't know how to—and they definitely refuse to—fix. The error is causing tubers to move to Twitch, enough so that the falsely lowered YouTube viewer numbers are becoming true. "See? We were right not to 'fix' it."
YouTube is a colossal company run by retards, it's okay if they aren't infallible, but they are actually fucking awful at doing the bare minimum to keep the site working. It's almost like they want it to flounder!

Twitch is a fucking nightmare for VODs and basic discoverability. It's great for streaming but YouTube is just way better for preserving an archive of your livestreams.
Twitch is very poorly managed. They don't try to pretend they give a fuck about professionalism, they play blatant favoritism with certain streamers and are aggressively retarded in their management policies. Quite telling that some of their stars are a bland, insufferable bitch, Pokimane, a manbaby retard, Hasan, and a titty streamer with the personality of a sheet of cardboard!
I'm probably very late, but this dudes holo animations are super cute, especially the ones involving Baelz.
The Animatics guy came back from hiatus recently too!

Love his style, FuwaFuwa (the "japanese" walfie that is actually a taiwanese girl) is also a sweetie with great style!

Yeah the way twitch vs YouTube subs/followers/members etc works is retarded sometimes.
ironmouse doesn't have 1M subs on twitch, it's 1 M followers, which is akin to "subscribe" on YouTube. She does have several thousand actual subscribers paying out $5 a month though and gets a ton of donos through streamerlabs, so she is still killin it
