I remember when people made a big deal about her and nothing came up of that speech and the time she glared at trumo and the media acting like Trump was sacred of her even though he didn't acknowledge her existence. Funny you should say that - our resident autist environmentalist mouth-piece, Greta Thunberg, recently said she "stood in solidarity" with Indian farmers who are demanding a repeal of three laws implemented in September last year, aimed at deregulating the country's agriculture sector. The farmers say the laws will help big business but destroy the livelihoods of smaller farmers, who form the backbone of the agriculture sector that amounts to almost 15% of India's $2.9 trillion economy.

Guess how the Indian government responded? They said that she was literally trying to target India's democracy and told her (and others like Rihanna) to STFU.

Biden orders release of Trump White House logs to Congress​

President Joe Biden is ordering the release of Trump White House visitor logs to the House committee investigating the riot of Jan. 6, 2021, once more rejecting former President Donald Trump's claims of executive privilege.

The committee has sought a trove of data from the National Archives, including presidential records that Trump had fought to keep private. The records being released to Congress are visitor logs showing appointment information for individuals who allowed to enter the White House on the the day of the insurrection.

In a letter sent Monday to the National Archives, White House counsel Dana Remus said Biden had considered Trump's claim that because he was president at the time of the attack on the U.S. Capitol, the records should remain private, but decided that it was “not in the best interest of the United States” to do so.

The committee is focused on Trump’s actions from Jan. 6, when he waited hours to tell his supporters to stop the violence and leave the Capitol. Investigators are also interested in the organization and financing of a Washington rally the morning of the riot, when Trump told supporters to “fight like hell.” Among the unanswered questions is how close organizers of the rally coordinated with White House officials.

Trotting out some autistic vegan teenager was too much of a meme for even the normies, she got savagely mocked, and probably set back the agenda of climate change people a decade or so. There's a reason shortly after her bursting onto the scene the hardcore activists like Extinction Rebellion started chaining themselves to freeways and train stations and the like, she had made their movement too mockable and they had to try and restore face.
I actually kinda feel bad for her personally, since she obviously got coached into this by her parents and it's gonna take a decade of being out of the spotlight for her to live life with any sort of normality. Teenagers can be tricked into all manner of stupid causes, and that's why it's unwise/unfair to use them as the voices for a political movement.

Haven't paid attention to Virginia lately but apparently Youngkin managed to get a bill (not an executive order, actual legislation) banning school mask mandates passed, which he just signed earlier today. He gave his pen to a girl who was supended 9 times for refusing to wear a mask. School districts have until March 1 to comply.

So here is the full story:

Basically one Dem in the Virginia Senate was willing to break (the dude who wrote the original bill to get kids back in school bill) so there was enough to update the original law to code in mask optional. Now here is the smart part: The law normally would have gone in effect July 1st but after it was passed by majority Youngkin asked apply a emergency order and apply sooner (which he just signed) . If the republican's had written the emergency into the bill it would have require a 2/3 majority in each house but this way the bill only needs a tie or better. So about 12 days between getting blocked by a cornuted judge and getting actual legislation passed.

I would have liked to have it start sooner but still good the Youngkin was able to plan, adapt, and achieve.

But I will add some more. Thunberg was an attempt to generate grassroots support behind a puppet. The plan was to use the girl to spur on the lower level support behind her and then they could shape it as they pleased. The problem was that the strings were too obvious and nobody could take Thunberg seriously so the attempt was more or less stillborn.
