And he gets it wrong every time. Thats not what behind the scenes means. He should have say off-stream or when not streaming... I guesss thats not fancy enough for mr rainy day fund.He seems to think that using the phrase "behind the scenes" to talk about people giving him money and stuff offline makes it sound like serious business transactions, rather than a shady and utterly corrupt way of hiding income from the wheels and whales.
Some idiot on yesterdays stream was saying the delay was double that of the XBOX input delay but all reviews show otherwise with the delay being nearly identical. Although tests were done with a wireless controller and not an arcade stick that Phil has hardwired, supposedly.saw he's getting the PS5 version. I figured, his really bad acting when he was like "hmm which version should I get" last stream made me realize with this frame delay test which he didn't read was now his go to excuse to drop the game and cry when he gets clapped.
Though the PS test are very close to what people tested on beta, the release tests are better and he had no issue with the beta and input delay so.......
Phil is too incompetent to estimate his tax liability and too irresponsible to save his money and not touch it until the end of the quarter to make his required estimated payments. He treats taxes as a surprise annual bill instead of being a portion of income he doesn't get to keep, so like other bills it falls on the whales to pay it. He has claimed to make monthly payments (and bank leaks confirm relatively inconsistent monthly payments) likely at the suggestion of his tax guy to minimize the risk of him spending all his tax money on mobile games. But since he can't estimate and he isn't paying his tax guy to do it for him the amount he actually owes is a surprise until the end of the year. And he never has any extra savings earmarked for underpayment of tax so his viewers need to step it up and contribute.Isn't supposed to be paying estimated taxes regularly as self-employed because he doesn't have any employer withholding? Why is he acting like this is "tax season" when he's meant to be paying them throughout the year?
Phil was sooo proud of his scam too awwwe
Last night Phil got ZERO $25 tips to name a Pokémon.
Hahahahahahahahhahhha
i could be wrong but i thought people found out that he actually does declare his tips on his taxes? He is also probably committing fraud by saying he makes less then he does, not accounting for his PayPal revenue and only putting down what he gets from YouTube/Twitch depending on what platform he's using.
Yes the consensus is that he is reporting his on-stream visible PayPal income. And it's large enough that PayPal is reporting it too. If we want to speculate on him not reporting income there are other more likely things. It is possible he accepts 'behind the scenes' tips on his other PayPal account as personal gifts instead of business income.i could be wrong but i thought people found out that he actually does declare his tips on his taxes?
I would kill to see DSP try an actual blue collar shift washing dishes, painting a house or doing road work construction for 8 hours. He would be fired before he even got out of training.really leaning into the blue collar roleplay by calling the late stream a "shift"
The fact the Judge in the Bankruptcy case had to ask for his PayPal information from the first 2 accounts, and also the third account after it was revealed he had 3 tells me he was or is not reporting the PayPal income as income.Yes the consensus is that he is reporting his on-stream visible PayPal income. Assuming his gifted hats and electronics are real, he likely should be reporting them as income along with any store credits he receives. I highly doubt he is doing that. (This wouldn't likely result in an underpayment of tax though since those gifts are used for 'business' purposes)
Edit: Actually the conclusion about not affecting his tax liability is wrong. He should be paying state B&O taxes on his gifts. The B&O tax does not include deductions. I believe he shills for credits and gifts so hard because he knows he doesn't have to pay any fees and can hide it from his taxes.
From what I could find, there's nothing saying that you have to, but it is the smart thing to do. Therefore Phil will do the exact opposite.Isn't supposed to be paying estimated taxes regularly as self-employed because he doesn't have any employer withholding? Why is he acting like this is "tax season" when he's meant to be paying them throughout the year?
Seriously, is there any person that isn't him who, when hearing the phrase "behind the scenes" in a financial context, doesn't immediately associate it with phrases like bribe, embezzlement, political corruption, kickback and similar? Because that's where I frequently found the phrase whenever I read articles about one of my or nearby countries' politicians doing illegal shit.He seems to think that using the phrase "behind the scenes" to talk about people giving him money and stuff offline makes it sound like serious business transactions, rather than a shady and utterly corrupt way of hiding income from the wheels and whales.
"under the table" seems appropriateAnd he gets it wrong every time. Thats not what behind the scenes means. He should have say off-stream or when not streaming... I guesss thats not fancy enough for mr rainy day fund.
This is one of those things where the old adage of “if you have nothing to hide why are you hiding this?” is very apropos. Hiding some one the money he makes would, I imagine, in some fashion take more work than not, and Phil doesn’t put effort into anything if he doesn’t stand to benefit materially.Seriously, is there any person that isn't him who, when hearing the phrase "behind the scenes" in a financial context, doesn't immediately associate it with phrases like bribe, embezzlement, political corruption, kickback and similar? Phil lashing out at Nintendo for wanting "money now" not "later," made me realize Phil has ascended above self reflection.
After his bank leaks, I'm positive the git put his Door Dash orders in that sum. That $5000 per month bit still kills me. How he ever got away with that bullshit.
