They already quintuple ticketed them, disinvited them from the cool kids table, and took their birthday cake away over two weeks ago. During the city council meeting today the new bald police chief confirmed that leaving now will still result in them coming after you. There will be no amnesty.

Why in God's name would a trucker leave? They are already fucked and given no way out. Might as well honk together and force the cops to do it publicly rather than a couple months from now when they arrest you at home.

The more people the government is forced to prosecute the longer it will stay in the forefront of the public. The media can do blackouts but normal people will be reminded each time one of these cases comes to trial just how overzealous the politicians became. That will become more apparent as covid shit fades and they start walking back more of the hysteria.
