General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

She doesn't use it as a pity point on stream really or try to play it up, but I wouldn't say that it hasn't helped her gain eyeballs.

Oh it's absolutely helped her, like that one time she talked about it and got over a thousand dollars for a new bed in just a few minutes. I just mean she's not one of those people who make a career out of their disability.

Speaking of disabilities what happen to the group of predebut chuubas who all claim have some form of disable? Are they debut yet?

https://twitter.com/CyberDisa/status/1465742425704386562 this is the last thing they've sent and afaik they've never revealed any names or designs beyond the inital teasers
they fucked up from being named Vshougai (i assume to bank on Vshoujo) because Shougai or some shit similar to that turned out to be a mean word for disabled people in Japan ala Katawa and i dont think they got their steam or mojo back afterwards

Thier disability payments were cut, so they couldn't afford computers.

Is La+ just trying Twitch out as a tester for Cover Corp or is there another reason I see her streaming there often?

Speaking of Twitch bitches.

Yeah the way twitch vs YouTube subs/followers/members etc works is retarded sometimes.
ironmouse doesn't have 1M subs on twitch, it's 1 M followers, which is akin to "subscribe" on YouTube. She does have several thousand actual subscribers paying out $5 a month though and gets a ton of donos through streamerlabs, so she is still killin it

Oh it is just followers then? Seems odd that she's the first female to have 1M then (I assume at least she's the first since they are also saying she is now the #1 highest female on twitch too), that number seems small compared to YT where there's already many over 1M and even Gura who is approaching 4M. But maybe chalk that up to just the size/scale of YT vs twitch.

I thought Pokimane or Amouranth had 1M followers already since they are on the top 5 of more viewed females, or im missing something here?

I checked her twitter and it doesnt seem to be related/attached to the agency.

She's from the same indie clique that Fauna came from. What's-her-name (been too long) who's known for being outraged at Fauna for abandoning them was good, too. The other one I remember, Bethy, has a nice voice but has become twitterclout.gif, unfortunately.

I don't know the disability gang, but it's a good idea.

Normally I like Tom's stuff, but the research on this one was totally lazy. It's his second channel I guess, but any decent amount of research would show him that this is less 'vTuber culture' and more "Japanese Idol Culture", which happens to overlap quite a bit. You see significantly less of this behavior on the non-JP side of things.
Is everything that Japanese people do that the Westerners don't like "idol culture" now? It's such a cringy, overused redditor/normie term honestly, obsessing over that idol label as if falling in love with celebrities/artists/entertainers etc. was somehow reserved to the idol industry. Anyway the biggest omission here is ignoring all the craziness from mafumafu's female gachikoi and making it all about angry Rushia simps who are at worst mostly just sad or confused by the whole situation.

Whenever some controversy blows up it's almost always outsiders who jump in on the drama to larp as morally outraged citizens so to say while in reality they are just a bunch of bored trolls and antis more than happy to provide them with ammo, at least that seems to be the case with pretty much any East Asian drama. In this case people who shit on Rushia are largely just generic Vtuber-haters like Jun-fans, combined with her long time personal antis and general hololive antis that often happen to be also nijisanji stans:

No you dumb nigger, this obsession with purity and members not seemingly having any relationships with any penis havers is very firmly planted in "Idol culture". This shit goes beyond Youtubers. This happens to Idol musicians all the fucking time because the Idol culture fans are fucking weird. Here's a selection of articles talking it from a basic bitch google search.
