RPGnet Forums

I wish I could just post this in that thread a few times and hammer in it, except I'd just get banned, and it'd be a bad case of pozloading my negholep.
If you played it with a straight face, you could. Just don't say "murder," since that implies the victims didn't deserve to die. You could say,

"The reason white supremacists love Randy Weaver and keep bringing him up is he was one of them. The fact is, Randy Weaver was a fascist. Notice that his wife never left him, and his son was old enough to know better and didn't make any effort to escape Weaver's Nazi compound. Does anyone here seriously think either of them weren't fascists as well? The fact is, Ruby Ridge was nothing more than the government killing some fascists, and when the government kills fascists, it's doing the right thing, full stop."

I doubt they'd object unless you had a posting history of arguing with them.

And they're too lazy or inept to actually threadban people; but that might also be their attempt at getting rid of people.
I actually did the "you're banned now stop talking" bit for the lols but now I've lived long enough to see with my own eyes someone has done it unironically :story: I love this thread now

Well, they're using the same forum software as this site does, so it's probably an mod being so angry from huffing his own farts that he couldn't press the "threadban" button.

And speaking of internet buttons, RPGnet will never get one because then they would have to police whoever uses it. And some technical issues, that I need to look into doesn't fucking exists.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around that clarification for the Ruby Ridge ban. "Everything you said was technically true and accurate, however we're judging you based on perceived intent"? Come the fuck on. Sounds to me more like one of the mods made a snap decision and then they had to backpedal and use whataboutism to justify themselves ("oh, you care that Vicki Weaver was shot by federal agents but you don't say anything about innocent black bodies being murdered in their homes? Clearly you're arguing in bad faith") when someone actually called them out. I guess this is their version of "Even the devil may cite Scripture for his purpose."

Fun fact, aside from Vicki Weaver, every civilian shot at Ruby Ridge was shot in the back. Yes, even the dog. Because alphabet agents are scum.

That sick fuck who shot them all was Lon Horiuchi, a Japanese Hawaiian. Sadly the Aloha State exports its fair share of psychopaths. He went on to have a very successful career in gun manufacturing after escaping a manslaughter conviction thanks in part to one Mr. William Barr.

And you thought the RPG.net mods weren't fans of the Trump administration.

Actually, this would be great. I'd love for RPGNet to introduce a "like" button so they can start ban chains.

To make it so bad, all it takes is an SysAdmin monkeying around with the settings and uploading a few PNGs over the course of an few minutes.

But they can't because they're too traumatized by moderating the forums.

I guess every single thing Zeea looks at reminds him in some way that he will never be a woman.

So have they banned any criticism of the new Amazon Lord of the Rings show yet?

"No negativity" is Other Media's guiding primciple so it's coming. But don't worry, they won't be watching it either except to gush about how "the costumes are so gorgeous" or "I just feel so much affirmation from the diversity".

"Judge it on it's own merits"
This is a cashcow of a series, directed by a souless committee owned by one of biggest, most expanding company owned by the richest man in the world and this people are clutching their pearls at people shitting on it.

Looks like someone got banned for being "pro-COVID".

Don't get me wrong, I wish people would stop being stupid with transmitting the virus, but how do you conflate being irritated with mandates that are constantly changing to being in support of the virus?

Given the mod in question ended the ban with a Skyrim quote I would not read too deeply into it. If you want to I think it's less "supporting the virus" and more "there will be no criticisms of the Canadian government invoking war powers to deal with a non-violent protest!"

So RPGnet has taken the side of totalitarianism.
