At least they made sure to include a joke where after that happened he ended up a broke taxi driver who gets robbed of his last few bucks. They at least remembered to poke a little bit of fun at him even if it was super gentle. Can't see that happening today.
His head referenced it in Benders Big Score but I don't know if it was in the Comedy Central seasons.

I know Billy West is allegedly in Minecraft. I don't have enough dox to make a thread about this. I knew his nephew for a brief time ages ago. Him and his family are horror cows.

Apparently DiMaggio said no because he think's he's worth more than Hulu wanted to pay him. (Which is presumably less than he was making before with Fox/Comedy Central.)
I know he's a piece of shit... and I'm not privy to what he was actually offered, but in this one specific instance, I don't think he's wrong.
I don't have Hulu right now, and it's only logical to assume that they're making this Futurama revival to get former Futurama fans to subscribe to Hulu.
For me personally, if you can't even get Bender right, I'm not interested in the revival. And I'm definitely not alone there either.
Without knowing any of the details, I do think that DiMaggio is probably worth what he thinks he is worth, and this Futurama revival will likely bomb without him.
Let's be honest though, it will still bomb even if they end up getting him.

He allegedly took CP of his grade school nephew around the early to mid 90s. I know cliche! I heard this from a few people in real life. I don't know if it went to court or was an out of court settlement because reasons. I don't have enough dox to prove nor disprove this. I want 100% proof this happen. So no thread, sadly.
